18371 SF55TSZ IS now in service in Leamington, confirmed by my own eyes!

Also, 17511 LX51FMO is in service (Meant to be an excellent bus!) - 16174 R174HHK is also a recent transfer from Kettering to Stratford.

47653 KX58AYG is also now painted in standard livery.

39680/1/2???/4/5/6/7/8/9/90/91 all now repainted out of Matrix livery for the 55/56/57 - 39683 seen by myself today. Not seen 39682 for a while, so in for repaint?

Ben.

17511 is LX51FNO, LX51FMO is 17493 which is a Rugby vehicle isn't it?  Btw, are both of these vehicles still dual door or have they been converted to single door?

Justin Tyme

17493 is a Rugby vehicle, and I believe it and 17511 have both been converted to single door, along with several others incoming.

I wonder if Nuneaton's Matrix MANs will be replaced shortly?

Finally, an Olympian - or any DD - on the 50A would be a trip to savour; especially around Sibford Gower.

LX51FNO even, sorry about the confusion

The 26 has a nice variety of vehicles. Later on, it tends to be buses that come off the X16 and 50. So usually 18102/18103/18106/17054

On a weekday, the 09:10, 15:10 and 16:10 off Stratford are operated using a Leamington vehicle, and are usually 15676/7/8, 18190 or 18398/399/400/401/402. 17696 has been known to be on this though.

On a Saturday, the 10:10 Stratford - Redditch is always 36951 (Unfortunately, that heap should be scrapped). the 09:10 is one to watch, booked a decker so usually a Trident, 15675 or an Olympian.

39682 KX08KYU now repainted.

Only 39683 KX08KYV remaining in the 'Matrix' branded livery, but not seen it for a while so in for repaint most likely!

And ironically, the only journeys they haven't altered are the Sunday 56s which are by far the worst offenders! In the week it gets around 70 minutes running time, on Sunday the route is longer and it gets about 55 minutes. The only way you can keep to time is to break to the speed limit and pray that you don't pick many people up. George Eliot Hospital gets skipped on about 75% of journeys because by the time you get into Nuneaton to go out there, you should have already gone, come back and been well on the way out to Coventry again. Sometimes drivers actually have to skip an entire 56 journey altogether.
Then you get the Leicester 48 on Sundays, with it's pointless 40 minute layover time...

I do however welcome the early morning changes, with so many people buying week tickets which have to be sealed in the wallets (although that is due to decrease with smartcards replacing them) and that happening at almost every stop seriously impacts on service reliability, and the £20+£10 note for a £20.30 Megarider Plus at 4am palava, because nobody seems to learn that drivers don't have hundreds of pounds of change at that time in the morning! >:(

The changes to the lates though, they're pretty pointless, they have ample running time and you only run late if there's an issue or you do so on purpose.

There's currently a storm brewing at Nuneaton Garage at the moment with working hours. One example is that all bar 1 driver on the Tamworth rota have put in a driver's report saying they want off it and there was a Union meeting today with the drivers with regards to it. I was told that the meeting between the Management and the Union previously didn't go well, with industrial action mentioned.
With the changes, the Tamworth rota will cover approximately 2am-10pm. Being made to change shift times of such a great scale over and over isn't going to do your sleep pattern any good and that's hardly going to boost safety.
