it was a RED light and the light could flash or be on permanantly and the garage said check the fuel cap and it was located at the top left of the dash

Hand brake? Anti-Freeze? Oil Level? Just trying to work out what's on a B6's dashboard!
The top left flashing red light is just the general hazard warning light telling you to look at the bank of warning lights to the right by the handbrake

Thanks Tony, I remember there was 2 'banks' of warning lights, as like the Spectras. But they were positioned vertically not horizontally like the deckers. An exclamation mark I presume is the graphic on the light?

Like this, LS? This is a dashboard of a B10L. You could see the light with a triangle and the ! inside it.

Yes, from what I remember. I think the B6 dashboards were smaller (obviously).  Always a soft spot for the 'early' TWM Volvo's, B10B/L, B6 and the like. Bit of a difference between a B10L and a Lynx! haha

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

I'm not a driver but I'd guess drivers preferred B10L's to Lynxes given that particular choice. I say that because the B10L's front section has a simpler ldesign but a Lynx would win for the sake of nostalgia. I could be wrong though

As for 601, that one doesn't fail in service very often. 586 is the troublesome one at the moment

Because the section going towards Dudley/Birmingham is closed.

Buses towards W'ton are not affected

I will post full diversion details soon

Christopher

That explains it then thanks again nath 😀

Bit of a long shot here, but would anyone happen to know which bus was due to work the 23:15 126E from Wolverhampton today (Saturday)? I took a couple of pictures on it and forgot to take the fleetnumber.
