BTW the 10 can't operate anything other than B7's due to them being the only vehicle type that can activate the per ton busway

So does that mean the 62/62A is gonna be B7 operated as well? As its been extended through the bus gate

Tbh i don't know how it works as Arriva have sent all sorts down that bus lane. Maybe the B6's will be fitted with transponders?

But will it be worth the expense if the B6LE are being replaced by Tridents soon?

Trident 4609

True. I never even thought of that problem until Kevin brought it up :)

Also i can see new buses (Midibuses) coming to PL this year as certain routes such as the 62 struggle with dd's or full size single deckers. Maybe a batch of E200's will be ordered for WN and WA with some later in the year going to WB (The investment to Sandwell Buses that were mentioned? Just a quick thought i came up with

One other thing,Can the hybrids operate The Perton Busway as a 551* B5 wss reported on here some months back on the evening 5 which interworks with the 10? Do these have those Transponders that activate the bus way bolloards fitted?

mranon

i think only a few b7rles have the perton bus lane thingy. when i can get out to spot, its the same few buses always on there

So only certain B7's are put onto the 5/10 on sundays then? I say that because i see many different B7's on the 10

Ashley

I think most of the B7RLE's have the transponder fitted. Some B6LE's will have to be similarly equipped. Could be a small number as the 62/62A won't interwork with anything after the 26th well apart from AM and PM peak 11's

Talking of B6's, 586 broke down at Finchfield on the 62 this morning but unsure why, probably overheated again like 640

DOC37V

Do the bollards actually work? Seen cars going down the busway recently so perhaps not.

Do Arriva have some sort of portable actuator as there seems to be allsorts on the 10 from them, there was an orange livered Solo on it today!
Preserving a bit of West Midlands heritage with 1037 and 1849.

I presume with the 26 being withdrawn that more B6's become avaliable ast the 25A/C i believe will still be mainly merc with a couple of B6's. More B6's could shift onto 11's or 32/3's as they could manage with B6's shifting tridents on those routes onto boards of the 2/3 which get busy?

Thats strange as the 10/A/B are now 100% booked to be double deckers (More DAF ALX400's have been drafted in off the 19) so the Solo shouldn't be on there. Saying that 4851 or 4854 was on the 19 today

2003 on the 126 today

It appears that WN are struggling for Tridents again with more B7's creeping back onto 126's

which makes you wonder how they could spare a Trident for PE?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Its not that they really struggle for tridents, its just they allocate some to 11's,32/3,Extra Tridents on the 82,And sometimes on the 27 (27A is Trident operated but the 27 isn't) so single deckers are then allocated to the 59,126,255 etc.

2014 on the 255 may have replaced 4311 which was broken down in Stand L of W'ton Station just before 11 (now on the 2)

Which 3 are in the paintshop? 4310,4575 and would i be right in saying 4312 has transfered to PL and you put it in for repaint?
