639 won't be on the road for a few days given that today its electrics and gearbox gave up today

Shame, 639 was an absolute beast at BC. Real flyer. 638 on the other hand... in fact, ask any 636 driver on the subject of 638!!!

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Could imagine 638 crawling up Mucklow Hill

639 has always been a personal favourite

638 as has been said many times isn't a good bus, although today it was the replacement bus for 639, came in to WN bus station for the 1400 62A departure, a route with Wolverhampton's steepest hill (The Holloway). 634, 638 and 640 always struggle but the others manage it easy

555 is a good one going up Holloway Hill screaming away like it does

The Tridents on the 10 demolish the Holloway

The Bartley Green Holloway is quite steep aswell, and can imagine 638 crawling up there on an X64

Not forgetting Drews Holloway in Colley Gate, I've seen many Darts on the 142 cause a traffic jam trying to get up it

Holloway seems to be a common hill name

Has anyone seen 4580 back in service yet after repaint/refurb?

Yeah, a NX Trident would struggle up there more

Spectras are 100% confirmed to be staying for another 12 months. According to the person I've been talking to inside the garage, WN have invested a huge amount of money in increasing their reliability so much so they are the 2nd most reliable bus in garage behind B7RLE they are now focusing efforts and ££££s on making B6s just as reliable. So looks like they will be around a lot longer now.

That sounds about right, one hasn't been reported broken down for a good while, Tridents and B6's on the other hand!

Trident 4609

I have noticed a big decrease of breakdowns on the 59 (Usually the reason why single deckers kept appearing on there). I am actually quite glad they are staying for a while longer

Yeah I noticed that too, a Trident seems to get reported broken down every other day, and think how many breakdowns won't get reported, they could well be the most unreliable bus in the fleet

Trident 4609

Until recently Spectras did seem to be unreliable (Not as much as the tridents) but there was a breakdown most days but I'm glad to hear they are some of the most reliable buses at WN now :)

Liverpool Street

Well yes Matt but surely due to the volume of Tridents in the fleet?
