4560 has got to be one of the best sounding buses (and fastest) in the whole fleet! Sounds like a cross between a Trident and a Walsall B7RLE. Even does the 'humming' sound when ticking over. Anyone else noticed this?

Not before i get to it first ;) Only Joking;D By the way 4556 was on the 25/7 today but there were 5-6 B7RLE's at the front of Park Lane garage

Like we were talking about earlier 4556 was probably parked at the front of the garage early this morning and they couldn't access any B7RLEs so had to send that out

No they are parked where they are fully accessible at the front. There are only B7RLE's usually at the front

May have been that they didn't park enough B7RLEs at the front so one of the buses departing depot early morning had to have a Trident; the 25/27 being the most suitable

Going back to my question, does anyone know why 4560 sounds like an older B7RLE?

As it not rare anymore, will post here, 2005 on the 126
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

It is still unusual stu as if you look at how many 126's depart each day and how many of them are not Tridents

To be honest, you get more B5s on the 126 than B7RLEs. I wouldn't call either unusual any more now though. A branded Hybrid would be though

Trident 4592 was parked at Oak Lane this afternoon. For an MOT probably.

I wonder why a B6 got onto the 126? Surely at least a trident,B5,E400H or a B7RLE was spare?

There were at least 4 tridents and an E400H at PL when i went past at lunchtime

No spare tridents at the moment and 3 Enviros off for defects.

Surely if they needed a bus desperately for the 126, it would have been better to nick a double off the 59 or 529 for it, and use the B6 to cover on that route.

Tbh only a couple of tridents on the 59 today and mainly Spectra. They could have taken one of the two B5's off.

That's what they usually do with the 59, but they don't put anything on the 59 in its place ;)

A quarter of WN's E400s off the road due to defects? Are these proving to be unreliable buses? I have no stats or anything to back this up, just personal observations and anecdotal evidence, but after a shaky start, BC seem to usually be able to put out a full complement of their E400Hs each day.

Been reported that a few operators around the country have had issues with new E400Hs has it not?

5414 has already developed a whistling sound under acceleration, I quite like it, it's made it my favourite E400H, distinguishes it from all the others. Hope they don't try and fix it
