It's impossible to know any bus in advance

Some random diversions on the 16 today due to an accident near Lidl in Amblecote. Some are going via Moor Street and Brierley Hill Road to access Brettle Lane, some following the 226 route round Swan Lane, some going into Brockmoor and one even tracking as going as far as a low bridge!

All opinions and onions mentioned on here are mine and not those of any employer, current, past, present or future, or presented as fact, unless I prove it otherwise.

I caught 6772 on the 529 this morning and ive noticed it's got no Front destination display but the side and rear work.

Pretty sure that it was like this:

Park Lane originally shut totally  in 1986 and only CR was in operation. PL then reopened as an Engineering base in 1991 but CR was still used as the actual garage.

In 1993 CR closed and PL became the operating garage for Wolverhampton.

Park Lane first opened in 1938.  Cleveland Road had first opened in 1902.

Park Lane first opened in 1938.  Cleveland Road had first opened in 1902.
When WMPTE formed in Oct 1969 Wolverhampton corporation had four active depots, two on adjacent sites.

Cleveland Road - opened for trams 15th Jul 1902, buses 1st Sep 1905 and trolleybuses 29th Oct 1923; closed for trams 26th Aug 1928 and trolley buses 5th Mar 1967

Bilston St - opened for buses 13th May 1931
  - Between March 1975 and the official opening on 18th Jan 1978 as Cleveland Road, these two depots were rebuilt as one modern depot with a ramp leading from the higher Cleveland Road side and the lower Bilston St side. This depot was closed by WM Travel on 31st Oct 1993.

Park Lane - opened for trolleybuses 25th Jun 1938 and buses on 30th Apr 1939; closed for trolleybuses on 27th Jan 1964. This depot was closed by WMPTE on 25th Oct 1986 and reopened by WM Travel on 1st Nov 1993.

Bilston, Mount Pleasant - acquired from Wolverhampton & District Electric Tramways on 1st Sep 1928; opened for trams 15th Jul 1902 and buses 26th Oct 1904; closed for trams 27th Oct 1928, opened for trolleybuses 27th Oct 1930 and closed 26th Oct 1964 and by WMPTE for buses on 12th November 1971.
