6759/60 both on 255 seems like a regular occurrence?

@Chris Yes, WN's MMC's are regulars on the 1, Northwood Park circulars and 25* services in the week if there are any spare.

How long has there been Tridents branded with the new style 59 branding?

Surely they should have painted them in crimson before adding the branding?

The route branding frenzy in Wolves happened mid to late last year. Unsure why WN are down the bottom of the chain for some Crimson though.

@Westy 4555 was the first one branded up on 20th October, the rest of 4556-64 shortly followed in November.

Wolves seem to have more older buses than Walsall that are able to be repainted above 4425, unless Im mistaken, as besides the old 529's that were transferred over in the 45xx series, most of Walsall's older deckers are in the 41xx & 43xx series, with the recent 42xxs transferring out again recently, which leaves only the remaining Scanias, B7Lres & Enviros still to do.

Would I be correct in thinking only half of Walsall's current fleet could be crimsoned eventually, the rest being too old to count?

It's only the early Tridents that aren't eligible for repaint ? They have 4597 - 4605 so they could be repainted. Their E400s also count alongside the E200s (?) Their B7RLE's & Scanias are being done. So it's just 30 of their 39 Tridents that can't be repainted but I would imagine everything else is ok.

Doesnt it also depend on when the vehicle was last repainted as well?

4315 noe had a front LED display, with the number on the left and large destination. On the 11 today

Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Will the 254 ever return? Which route did it take as I was living in Cornwall at the time of the first Dudley review which changed the 260/261. Do you think they should replace the 205 with a 258 205 to Kingswinford and 256 route to wolves again? Just feel that the 205 is being a little under used off peak or perhaps replace the 255E with a bus that goes up to Russell's hall hospital and then like then X10. I know it sounds like a weird idea I just have the feeling that the 205 is going down the route of being withdrawn

The 254 operated into Wombourne via Gilbert Lane (past the police station) and around the Green to Planks Lane, Giggetty Lane and Brickbridge Lane.  It then operated via the Himley Bypass and A449 to Wall Heath Church where it then followed the 255/255E route to Merry Hill.

While the 254 operated to Wolverhampton, the 255 followed the same route as the 256 through Wombourne via Billy Buns Lane and Common Road.

The 254 was cut back to Wall Heath in July 2010 operating from Wall Heath Church via the A449 and Swindon Road to Blaze Park.  The 259 was withdrawn the same day when services along the Penn Road and from Kingswinford to Stourbridge were reduced from every 10 minutes to every 15 minutes.  It was then rerouted to the current route and renumbered 255E about a year later.  The 255 was rerouted via Planks Lane when the 254 was cut back but operated via Giggetty Lane and Common Road originally.  It was rerouted back along Brickbridge Lane after complaints from Sainsburys.

In terms of changes to the NXWM Kingswinford routes, I'm sure that they are reviewed regularly but can see no reason to reroute the 255E via Russells Hall as that link is covered by the 226.  The only way you would see your 258 would be if there was a need to increase Penn Road services to every 10 minutes, but would current passenger levels support a 10 minute service all the way to Kingswinford?.

Any idea why I would have seen a 529 Platinum going down the Black Country Route in Wednesbury around 745 this morning?

I'm guessing it went to WB garage for some reason?

4559's front display has been fixed so it now displays correctly.
