Nx have scrapped buses with a lot less fire damage so 4593 could be stripped of anything useful I.e engine gearbox axles etc even if those bits serve as exchange units to save expensive surcharges on return units.  In years gone by though, one wonders if it had been a pretty low floor decker I.e one with a proper chassis and engine whether it would have been worth revisiting.

4355 springs to mind!
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

244 towed from Park Lane this morning. Seen on Lichfield Rd going towards Bloxwich about 08:55.

4593 was pictured on a tow truck too. Whether it was being towed for scrap or being moved to a different of the garage, i'm not sure.

@900 that's a load of crap. Mercs got around there fine plus there have been several other times when a B7 has been on the 257

It is true that they 'can' struggle round the Gornal Part of the route, but they are not 'banned'. A bus is a bus. As long as it can 'physically' get round the route and keeps the service running then there is no problem. The inspector did use the words 'banned' to us, but the B7RLE that came to replace a faulty Trident, was swapped with a hybrid off the 59, so there was no gap/disruption to service.  If a Trident isn't avaliable, then a B7RLE is the next vehicle choice.

I live round Gornal wood and I've seen enough tridents stuck round there the especially round school times and the b7 does struggle abit round one particular bit of the route in Gornal.
