Because its knackered and has been for about four years but probably won't be replaced I bet.

Hardly knackered if it has been used for four years

Well maybe not knackered but certainly not working as good as it used to. 4603 is another with gearbox issues shall we call them. The same issue that got 638 it's bad rep where managing to get into third gear is a somewhat rare treat or it changes about two seconds before you have to brake.

Nothing wrong with 4586 (The Euro 4 example). I find it hard to explain but 4590,4603 and 4605 all seem to have a gearbox issue. They do sound different to other ZF tridents. They seem to lack power

I always thought the old 59 branded 46** series sounded and felt 'different' to the other s in the batch. 4609 sounding substantially different. As with the Voith 45 series Tridents 4565 sounds different (better) than the others..I wonder why??

It's hard to explain but the three I mentioned sound as if there is issues with the gearbox.

Just saw 4556 on the red box in Walsall Bus Station. The back window and the left small window are smashed. See picture

@jack4325 Tridents are not noteworthy on the 2 on a Saturday. Late night board 2/11 is usually a Trident which 4583 is working.

Same applies to the 3/4 if anyone is unsure.

Trident4590

4542 is another trident with gearbox issue it sounds normal most of time but sometimes it sounds like the 4590 I. It usually sounds weird when changing gear uphill.

Trident4590

4586 seen broken down on Hagley Road West

Trident 4609

4135 on the 1 tonight. Not common for a Saturday (especially on lates)

82 completely Spectra free today, first time I have seen that on a weekday for ages
