Absolutely amazing!
Wolverhampton have managed to get all 16 remaining Spectras out in service this morning, and from what I can tell none has broken down!

Why is it people moan about the Spectras yet this goes to show that despite their age they are still some of the most reliable buses around.

They are definitely not that Matt.
This is the first time for many months WN have managed to get as many as 16 out, even when they had 20 of them, and it is extremely unusual if a couple are not heading back to garage without completing a days work

I'm sure someone from Wolverhampton garage posted on here a while back that the Spectras were their second most reliable vehicles, behind the B7s. (before the E200s came)

I would not expect even the best of engineering departments to be able to keep an entire fleet of 16 seventeen-year-old buses on the road so the fact that Wolverhampton have managed it today is surely a compliment to both the vehicles and the engineers

There has been improvement in Spectra/B6LE reliability the last year or so but obviously not a massive difference, the B7's give you almost no grief at all

They may have got 16 out but there was at least 3 back in the garage last night
As for reliability improvement that is mainly because some of them only do school runs an sit on the patch most of the day!

Is it just e200s on 81 today?

From what i could see yes.

For any Spectra fans, 4006 is now on 79's left Wolverhampton about 14:25. Pretty rare to find one on there on Saturday.

Unbranded E200 846 is on the 54 today.

And there were 5 E400H's on 59's today. Never seen that many on here on a Saturday!

Wouldn't 1661 have been a better bus to loan, it has got WN Blinds?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).
