4541 was at the Ivy Bush with the bonnet up at 8:40 this morning, on its way into town. Sounded like the engine was still running.

Back in service now. Seen pulling into W'ton on the 126 this afternoon.

Also if of interest to anyone 4597 is back in service on the 529 today

What happened to 4597? Strange because I caught that on 529 on yesterday.

Trident 4609

It was involved in an accident on the 529. Went to Carlyle Bus & Coach for repairs.

There was a mention of a crash on the 529 on here (I identified it as 4597) and another mention of it arriving at CB&C. Can't find the respective posts to quote sorry :(

No worries Liam :) Happy to help :)

Anyway moving on,

I've noticed that some 126's display  'DUDLEY 126E'. Now surely this should be displayed on 126's turned short at Dudley from Brum instead of 126E-Dudley Via Roseville (which is only appropriate coming from Wolverhampton direction) which i always see displayed when drivers are turned short (Only ever noticed DUDLEY 126E displayed on the timetabled trips from W'ton)

Cheers Tony :)

In other news, saw a notice today saying the return ticket sold on the 59 is increasing in price to £3.50. Will this apply to the return tickets sold on other routes also?

Looks like it, saw a notice inside my bus home this evening saying that the 37 return ticket is increasing to £3.50 from 29th June.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

The notice I've seen implies that the same return fare is available on the common section of route Wednesfield Road/Lichfield Road.

So does that mean the same return fare is also available between those points & Wolverhampton on the 69 & 89 too?

Return tickets can also be purchased on the 69/89 on the Wolverhampton-Lichfield Rd (Peacock Ave Junction)

WN seem to be short of double deckers again. There have been single deckers sighted on the 1,59,79,529 and 256/7 over the past few days

And on that note 2007 is on WN 59 today
Again two double's on the 82 today 4558 and 4562.

4562 is currently away for repaint @Dom :)

One of three currently at Trailways, Bloxwich along with 4626 & 4309

Must have been the one that past me on the 59 this morning.

@Matt, 4609 must have had the advert applied last night as it was in service yesterday without an advert applied :)

Ashley

4550 has one of the above mentioned adverts above the door.

10 of PL's "smartest" Tridents were used on a private hire from St Thomas Moore's School to Wolves Civic Hall today for some kind of national young persons singing competition. Most vehicles driven by depot managers but also at the wheel was local DJ Dicky Dodd

Also, does anybody know what's going onto the 25/27 tonight? Want to do it but don't fancy plastics again like my last two attempts

They were indeed it was a really well run service, even if you just heard the tridents bells the whole way.

4571's side and rear flip dot displays are not working today. Seen going along the A4124 Lichfield Rd (Wednesfield High roundabout) going towards Wolverhampton on the 59
