4253 - for being the tattiest bus in the whole fleet in NX livery. You can't see it that well in this picture but virtually every upstairs window is covered in etchings, the paintwork has been scraped off all over the place and is fading, the seat covers are still the TWM ones and they're worn and dirty, and it still has the connection bars.

I get the 97 most days a week at either 2:03 or 3:03am and I've never had or seen any trouble on there. As a matter of fact, you can sometimes see full loadings and there's no noise or trouble or anything.

I take it from your comments, that some 97's during the night are doing pretty well

Definitely. Last Sunday (monday morning) I caught the 02:03 journey from Moor St., the downstairs was full by the time we left Digbeth, and only a small handful were people that had been out drinking.

The Solos were still knocking about yesterday on the 654, saw one as I went through Perry Barr on 4697 on the 907. First ride on an Omnicity and on the 907; the only downside was the crippling heat! Also, there are some very strange noises coming out of 4697 when it accelerates and brakes, any ideas? It's a very noisy bus let's just say that

The 70 (BC) goes through some countryside when it's going around Coleshill and Water Orton

Do we think any B7RLE's will get identical branding on the 29?

Doubt it, red + red wouldn't mix well on the colour wheel.

I didn't think about that!  8)

I saw one of the new models assuming it was a demonstrator bus going up the A1 in Doncaster earlier. They look really slick but at the same time rugged. So when PB assign the new versions next year to the 904/33 maybe the 94 might get some of the current versions.  :P

To be honest I quite like the Geminis on the 94. I do hope the 45/47 or the 97 get them though. I still stand by the fact that as a flagship 24 hour and extremely busy route, it shouldn't be running with 12 year old messy looking Tridents with awful, awful branding stuck all over them like a toddler got too excited with its sticker book.

Got a good look at it in Priory Square, looks very smart just like the other Scanias

Has 4697 been out in service yet? Itching to get a look at it!

With these new short E200s arriving at PB and WB, they'll be allowed into Birmingham City Centre, meaning we'll start seeing midibuses on double decker routes again ;) can't wait to see a midibus on the 16 or the Sutton Lines!

And I'd like to see some new doubles on the 97, it's one of the regions busiest and most frequent routes so deserving of them. Or I'd like to see the 55 get moved back to BC, so it could start using deckers (maybe new E400s?), maybe in return for the 98 and 99 to BY.

The Alum Rock road is an absolute nightmare... Really, I've never known a road so difficult to get down by car let alone a double decker bus

Saw a 67E to Spitfire Island yesterday afternoon. First time I've seen this.

Thank god they're finally making the 73 share a stop on Moor St. with the 17 now though. Makes a lot lot more sense as they follow pretty much the same route, and means the 73 will actually start getting decent loadings from Birmingham.

The 72 has always served the station...
