1828 on 50 Druids Heath. Sure it was 1828 although that isnt a YW vehicle where 1928 is. Still unusual for a SD on the 50.

Finally managed to complete haulage on all NXWM and NXC. Set myself a target of completing the task in 3 years and have done it in just under 2  years. Happy days.

Is 4916 off the road. I have seen all the others from Perry Barr but this one has eluded me on 3 visits to Brum.

Haven't seen 4916 for a couple of weeks and have still to spot 4936 after spending days travelling around Sutton.

Bit of a strange one, noted 4297 on 74 at 12.30......but it was at the Scott arms and about to turn on to the 51 route heading for city, with a few passengers on board, assuming there was a blockage on the soho road.

That's funny you should say that while I was on 4865 on the 51 this morning I noticed 4267 at Perry Barr coming off the 11 Route and following the 33/46/51/X51/907/934/935/936/952 into Birmingham seen this just before 8am

That might have been the one I saw in Sutton Coldfield showing 74.

Isn't it the South Birmingham/Solihull Network Review in a couple months? You would think something will be done about the 49

Yes, and the 49 was one of the routes under consultation.

Centro's proposal for the 49 is to split the route into 2 or 3 sections, with the preferred proposal seeming to be to curtail the 49 to Solihull to Frankley, and then extend the 29 to Rubery to cover the rest:

They also mentioned that wherever they choose to split the route, passengers will be inconvenienced, which is true. The most logical terminus would be Frankley, although I'm not completely familiar with South Birmingham

I recall them only running to Frankley at one time. Soon changed them back to Northfield.

I use the 49 every weekday and apart from the slight blip have never had any trouble with it.

4697 I think broke down, as there was inspector there getting the other buses to go around  :)
Spotted it parked in Lower Parade just after 1100hrs.
Also WB5 405* broke down Collingwood Drive.

Is a 74E Island Road (from Birmingham) uncommon?

No, they are common timetabled short workings. in the daytime, the 'E' journeys are about every 20 minutes to Island Road from Birmingham.

How about a 74E ex West Bromwich to Island Road at 1120hrs?

Revenue lads were busy on the Soho Road today. Three passengers on upper deck were asked to get off. One refused but when two police officers came upstairs he reluctantly went. Not a happy camper. One of the others insisted he was only 15 years old but admitted his birthday was 1995. Another was moaning that his 24 year old daughter only looked 15 that's why she travelled on a childs fare. Good entertainment. Well done to the Revenue lads and lasses.
