When it has a brain fart you have to reset everything just as your about to pull away from a busy stop and get the inevitable banging on the doors etc.
I bet these ADL Enviro 400 mmc in euro 4 spec and the saloon doors interlocking spec of the 4700s  would be a decent bus.
At WB we did have a short term loan of one pennsnett crimson mmc I really didn't much care for that either, the ZF box was awful
Absolutely hate that manual door brake, but to be fair the platinums are a comfy bus to drive just boring. Really want to try driving a ZF one. There was a temporary transfer of one from Walsall a few months ago which I was chuffed about, but it was only around for a day or two before going back so never got the chance

1846 involved in a crash on Attlee Road. Looks like an idiot did not make proper observations when leaving the junction at Lilac Grove.

1887 - Cannot be withdrawn any sooner. Struggles very badly for power, likes to take its time when opening the doors, and can get incredibly smokey at times, particularly when climbing hills. All the other numerous uncomfortable aspects of driving the Scanias makes it a painful drive

Some of them are still absolute rockets, particularly the ex YW ones like 4739 and 4746. Night and day difference between them and most of the ex Coventry ones

Yeah new one

4747 - Ok on flats but it absolutely despises hills. Struggles to reach 10mph on steep ones, worse than your average painfully slow 4900s

Is 4648 withdrawn as per bustimes? Wouldn't be surprised if so, it's really on its last legs it pains me to say

Just searched this forum and apparently 4488 is withdrawn. Does anyone know why? Thought the Euro 6 ones are safe 😅

Anyone know if 4479 is out today?

4479 back from repair but not tracking. It's out on the 5 right now

4499 is out on the 11s today so that's thankfully back. Seen it myself so not just a bustimes tracker issue.

Looks like it might be off service for a bit, got into an accident at Moorend Avenue today. Offside front is quite damaged

4490 finally tracks now
