No, not for at least another year anyway, see:
https://wmbu.org.uk/2023/07/nx-bus-network-preserved-until-2024-despite-losses/

As for closing of depots, the next one that will close will be Birmingham Central, but the intention is to replace that with two new ones, however that won't happen any time soon, probably in the next few years.

Not the 71 but the CV X30 and WN 10B both appear to have been cancelled from September. Possibly due to end of contract?

The x30 only got renewed last June. Unless they're integrating it into another service, or that June renewal was just a temporary thing?

10B is only three journeys each way Mon-Fri so not a big miss as long as the Wolverhampton to Perton part is retained (as a regular 10 perhaps)

I don't know as I haven't asked, but sometimes it is just combining onto other registrations

That route is showing as running every 30 minutes to Pattingham at the moment during the day (as a 10A, missing out the two hourly time when it did the 10B journey) which I was surprised at, as I thought it only went to Pattingham every two hours. The registration on the 10/10A/10B does state 10B is being withdrawn, so (speculatively) either those journeys will just become 10A journeys, or they'll have a mix up between the 10/10A.

Probably explains why I've always seen a 10A at its Pattingham terminus when I've had to go there.

10A is two hourly, its the common part of 10/10A/10B between Wolverhampton and Perton which is half hourly.

10A is half hourly except where the 10B runs. Not every 2 hours.

Yes you are correct, I was wrong. The last time I checked the 10A WAS 2 hourly. I personally don't know why it was increased unless its to avoid excess layover time at Sainsbury's Perton.  Will a Saturday service be reinstated on the 10A I wonder?

Slightly off topic for this thread - But has any sites been announced for replacement of Central yet?

If there had, then there would already be a thread about it.

Exactly why I asked the question as it was mentioned in thread, I do think the response was bit unnecessary too.

I don't think any suitable sites have been found yet, well not as far as we know in garage. I'm hoping a site in either lea hall or garrats Green is found as I could just walk to work and not have to book the staff bus if I'm on a late or early duty

A site over that way would cut dead milage for 94 95 97, could see the 14 being moved to this new garage also

The last Google Street view image, but I think the TWM signs have come down since then (https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.4862649,-1.7874768,3a,90y,51.19h,75.06t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1shINM-EHKE45S7CoLuqkSRw!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu).

I think there might have been noise issues with it (like Washwood Heath), or it was just something they didn't feel they needed at the time, as it is a bit small (especially in comparison to Acocks Green).

Back while it was still open (https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.4862813,-1.787503,3a,75y,67.08h,94.03t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1stsPxWE5CD5gTCWL8xw1dlg!2e0!5s20080801T000000!7i13312!8i6656?entry=ttu)

Remembering back to what us office staff for the group at the time were told in 2010 was that NX Group was still struggling as a result of the recent handing back of the East Coast rail franchise and Stagecoach's failed takeover bid.

All parts of the company were asked to make savings to help restore the groups fortunes, so bus division decided to close a garage to reduce overheads. Lea Hall was one of the smaller ones and all it's work work could be transferred to other locations.

The TWM signs are still up at LH.
As far as I know, unlike Quinton, Washwood Heath wasn't closed for noise complaints. It was built in 1907 and at 90 years old it was the oldest and possibly the smallest capacity on the system. It just wasn't really suitable for modern bus operation anymore.

I think Birmingham Central has been given around 2 years, that's what the email said what we was sent as drivers.
