2226 is/was on the 18 today. It usually resides on the 19. The 18 usually gets an MPD.

No, 2226 is a regular on the 18. I see it on there much more regularly than on the 19. Nath will back me up as the 18 goes through his estate.

I've not seen it on there before. Certainly Monday-Thursday it was on the 19. I could walk for about 30 seconds from my house to where it stops.

I rode it on there a few weeks back and have seen it on there multiple times since

I must be wrong then.

Was there many people on there? Did it struggle around the estate?

It was quite busy with OAPs when I rode it although could've coped with an MPD.

It didn't seem to encounter any problems with the Moathouse Estate (if that's what it's called)

This is quite a regular bus on the 18. Rode it on the 18 at least 4 times now excluding today.

It has had a few tight squeezes through Olinthus Avenue and Mouthouse Estate. During the last week of the holiday it appeared 3-4 times during that week on the 18.

Although i did notice this week that it has started seeing Solos again for the first time in over a month.

Seen Both the S-YOG and 2414 on the 18 aswell.

Just to Clear that up for both of you :)

Just to add there was a DAF ALX400 on the 10 today :)

I rarely see cash paying customers on there, usually only OAPs as you said. Surprised this is profitable.

Bob

Its tendered. Unlike the 19 which isnt yet has a handful of passengers quarter filling the bottom deck, that must be losing a fortune

Its a tendered service and only runs off peak (Between 9:30 and 14:30). Apart from me on a Saturday on my way to Wednesfield to renew my Nbus pass i don't see many people pay.

Sometimes picks up Fare paying passengers along the 59 route though.

i remember when i lived on the 18 esatate whenn green bus ran it. it was run commercially im led to believe but was geared to work off a cheslyn hay school contract. was always leopards on this route, and when they stopped it, i drove it at choice. we reguarly had an old 12m coach/dennis falcons/merc urbanrangers as well as the mix of midis. i always wondered, when you see people walking off the estate to main roads that maybe a well marketed peak running wasn't viable

No that was a different route that went through Long Knowle to Cannock which became the 8 then the Arriva 68.

We are on about the 18 Service that is operated by Arriva (Previously Midland) that goes Wolverhampton-Lyndale estate via Moathouse estate

Bob

The green bus ran the 18 to lyndale park before midland & arriva.

Oh sorry yes i do briefly remember the Green Bus running the 18 :)

mranon

to be fair m8, green bus ran the 18 wolverhampton to lyndale park for years. choice took it on after, renumbering it the 534 and linking it up with the 534 which created a long trip from lyndale to perton via codsall. they also played with it later calling it the 517 integrating it with the pattingham service. it was only after it was dropped, and not sure whether it got tendered out, that it became its own original 18 again. it also originally came out of stubby lane, went right into moathouse lane east, left into wright ave, then left onto hyde road picking up the lakefield/lichfield rd island up. moathouse/wright was always a pain in the arse due to inconsiderate parked cars. i thought this watching drivers struggle around, but later on 2002/4 driving it myself! the essington route long knowle your mixing me up with was the number 8, also ran by green bus. another route taken on and messed about with by arriva.
