Are you sure? 1866 is parked up at Scott Arms now.  No sign of an accident. Driver checked VCR, nothing reported except a headlight bulb being out which had been changed.

It was stranded there for an hour behind the incident, but not involved.

That doesn't sound so exciting though

Was going to say, seemed in near perfect condition.

Cheers for the clarification Tony.

I must admit this one made me laugh from London, natural selection at its finest! Just a shame taxpayers will be paying for the damage.

Monday's edition of the Express and Star shows two 'fans' on top of West Midlands buses. Well done!
Just the way to encourage more behavoir like this...

It's alright the tax payer probably pays for the damage incurred.

How does the tax payer pay for the damage caused?

Smethwickian

Further to the above reports of buses being caught up in hooliganism resulting from  association football fixtures, Network West Midlands website advises that Sutton Coldfield town centre and Broad Street, Birmingham, not being served tomorrow after 7pm because of crowds "celebrating, or not"  England's match versus Croatia.

Please explain why you think NX won't have to pay for the cost of damage

Because nx didn't cause the damage it's hardly like the driver crashed. Surely it will just come from insuarance money

Other Walsall Tony

I have written to the E&S concerning their coverage of these incidents and would urge others to do the same.  Respectfully of course!

Insurance money and tax payers money is not the same.

And yeah like Tony said, NX have this self insurance bond policy thing. You need like £20million to put aside towards an insurance pot, as a sort of back up. If you can do that, you don't need to have insurance with any third party companies. It's a consortium of companies pooled together as far as I remember, and they combined put up the £20million in this, let's say, bank account for claims.

Probably coulda explained it better. They taught us this at the Driving School in Walsall. So basically if a NX bus hits into your car, they'd just take your car via that accident management company they refer all the incidents to, and fix it all up for you, rather than you going to claim through your insurance and stuff. It's easier and cheaper for NX.
