What's your hatred with them? They are nice buses and better than the E200 MMC's. They are fast too and sound nice as well. Would love some to be at PB alongside the Omnilinks.

I would of been happy to see a SWB E200 burnt to crisp.

What sound?! They are the most boring buses around these parts! They don't feel nice either, the ones BC have are crap. They have a habit of jumping into gear far too early, either resulting in a dip in power or the whole bus being jolted forward and the cramped interiors are the cherry on the cake. To answer your question, my hatred for them stems from the shoddiness behind them. Wrightbus electrics (today is a good example but in general they aren't the best all around) + outsourced engines that love going wrong + poorly programmed ecolife boxes = Awful buses. NXWM's Omnilinks are 1000% times better all around, a much better and reliable product, you don't know how lucky you are!

That's a great shame that one of the B7RLEs has been lost, I personally think they're quality vehicles. And considering that there are quite a few of these in the fleet, you don't see them broken down that often. Sadly this one has failed in spectacular fashion.

Opinions which are based on facts from friends within the industry, people who have experience operating Euro 4 and 5 B7RLEs and have learnt the hard way that Volvo quality is not what it was anymore!
If it is facts you want... It is well known in Burton that Midland Classic's management could not wait to be rid of their B7RLE as they quite literally spent more time off the road than on it. The B8RLE poor sales record speaks for itself. Simon Dunn also posted as fact not so long ago that their streetlites suffer with electrical issues too which they cannot fix. Not to mention all of the various electrical issues London operators have been experiencing with the NBFL since it went into production.

The best one though is that you can see how many Recall notices have been issued on on the dft website for both Wrightbus & Volvo products over the last 10 years (Date searched: Jan 2008 - May 2018) compared with ADL, it's astounding... Cummins and Plaxton have 0 entries and Dennis (ADL) has 8 while Volvo Bus has 53 and Wrightbus has 18!
