Still the year of ALX's I believe. This cummins engine isn't really reliable in terms of fires. That's why you see a tonne of ALX400's in engine fires. The only Enviro 400's I've seen that have been involved in engine fires are the Dennis Tridents. They have the Cummins engine too. This is what to expect  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

This is the third of that batch to catch fire.

9831 destroyed itself on route 343 in March 2012; 9835 has only recently re-entered service after catching fire at Brockley Rise last August and today 9838.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Well 4th actually. There was the fire in the riots. Yes, there was another ALX400 fire in the London riots. The DAF DB250 and 9755. I only just realised this but it's Abellio. They can't keep their vehicles maintained properly. Especially to a vehicle that likes to self-ignite.

4945 had nothing to do with the accident. The bus was directly behind the incident and police wanted the driver to make a statement on the scene

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Was that railway bridge unmarked?
Dunno. Seems to me that the markings may have been up higher. The picture never really showed anything to me.

Damn! That seems bad, nowadays it's Eclipses that are getting involved in incidents.
