X12 is moving to BC, could we see more up to date platinum's on this route?

Doubt it, it's too soon for an East Brum route to get an upgrade

Why would it? The current Platinums are just fine.
Also @monkeyjoe please don't start this again please.

I just say it how it is
What about the North Birmingham services? Some of them roll around with just as old buses as the East Birmingham ones. In fact the 14 and 97 have received an upgrade with some E400s.

Which North Birmingham services you are referring to. Other than 65? As sure X3/X4/X5, 93X, 997, X51, 16 are platinum, 51/33 are 61 plate E400.

65, 67, 14, 28 94, 55 are run mostly with some of the older buses  (repainted and retrimmed) at present. But even they might be upgraded one day as, such as when 11 got a newer E400 MMC 2 years ago. NX probably can't put new buses on every route.
And i'd much rather travel on an older bus than no bus at all, it doesn't really bother me.
If the rumour about 55 getting double decks that was posted on here is true, I'd consider that an upgrade as well.

@monkeyjoe s comment about X12 sounds like nonsense to me as that has its own fleet of platinums as far as I know.

Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.

I was referring to the 7, 65 and the 67.
The X12 platinums aren't new to it, I'm not sure what service it was originally from but I'll check the fleetlist.

Yeah just seen it now. That was 5 years ago? Man, I hate how time flies.

There has been 18- and 19-plate platinums running on the East Birmingham/North Solihull routes in recent weeks. I just felt it wasn't noteworthy to mention.

There aren't any 18 plates.
X12 certainly has been seeing the newer 19 plates I think, since these arrived at AG.

Must've been all 19s then. I was just surprised to see such a new bus this side of the city.

Looks like X12 is having its route changed to serve Birmingham Businsess Park.

X12/X70 seem to be running every 10 minutes combined from City Centre to Bromford with X70 upped to every 20 minutes to Bromford.

Do you know if they will be getting rid of the extra 75s that run as a result. Doesn't require much of a detour so sounds good to me.

Seems a lot better that does looks Like the x70 short journeys will turn around at the old clock garage ( now the big BP garage but seems a lot better cause the some journeys on the X12/70 timetables a few mins different at present

Stu

Noticed the last couple of days (I wasn't at work last week) that the displays for the 5 now show 'via Monkspath'.

I presume these rumoured changes to the 5 and 6 are not now happening? As I would have expected them to come into effect with the other August changes.

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath
