If the 97 gets the E400s, where do it's tridents go?

I'd say if 97 were to get E400s the tridents would transfer to WN to get replace the 43** Tridents as there is 23/24 43**s at WN and there are 27 44**s at BC

Scrapped i'd presume as they're 17 years old.

There are even older, untrapped 43**'s still in service at various depots. I don't really like to post thoughts/predictions nowadays to save being slated, but assuming the 44**'s will get the Graysons treatment to certify them Euro 6, they will be (or at least would've been the plan before the COVID 19 crisis) retained as part of the cascade plan to help remove the older Tridents & or ALX400 bodied B7TL's that are unlikely to be upgraded to Euro 6.

When they've already been upgraded with Euro 6 exhaust systems - unlikely.

To Wolverhampton to kill off some of the older tridents :) the 43**?

Stands a good chance or NXC to allow untrapped Tridents / B7TL / ALX to be withdrawn.

Isn't Wolves going Euro 5 minimum soon anyway as part of the Advanced Quality Partnership

I would have thought it more likely the E400s from 45/7 would go to Wolverhampton as part of the electric platinum/YW route 6 Platinum cascade - who knows when that will happen - both the lockdown and the fact the Mayor wanted a lunch party/publicity stunt for the electrics as well (presumably they're SORNd anyway). The CV ones, when they eventually arrive, will presumably replace 43/44xx Tridents.

The 44xx Pensnett/BC Tridents hadn't been 'rectified' to proper Euro 6 standard (only some of the Tridents in the 4535-4634 range had been dealt with last time we had a 'Vehicles away from Home Garage update'). The 44xx will be 18 years old next year and due for withdrawal.

The other point of interest is the reserve B7RLEs at Dundee - tantalisingly Tony mentioned there was to be a use for these, then in another thread mentioned retrofitting buses as electrics as part of the NX forward vision for electric vehicles, and mentioned, I think, a B7RLE as an example - maybe I'm putting 2 and 2 together and making a dozen B7RLEs - or maybe they're just going to become trainers!!

Fun to speculate! However until the outcome of Covid (and then a no deal Brexit - remember that old chestnut 😐) in terms of the economy and people's travel patterns are known I guess we won't have a clue!!

Were any of the electrics taxed when they arrived? Depending on how long things go on for, could they,  in theory enter service as 70 plated vehicles?

Have the AG 42XX B7TL been rectified to proper Euro 6 standards?

And if any Crimsom Tridents were ever displaced. Would it be more likely they'd be moved to YW, displacing red and white ones to CV.

There is no big cascade happening, and as I put on the BC thread, their fleet is not changing

Sorry - I didn't notice that item. There must be some vehicle replacement resulting from the YW electrics when they eventually enter service? Maybe 45xx Tridents back to Wolverhampton then?

I'd imagined the 10 extra MMC from PN now at AG would replace B7TLs.

The 10 MMC at AG replaced 4687 - 4696 which left to WB.
So what route will be going Platinum then if there's not going to be a big cascade? The 49 maybe?

I have put a video on Youtube I filmed 33 years ago of the driver's eye view of the 37 (now 4) route. Bits of this have been on there before but this is the first time I have put the whole route on including the city centre
