One of them on the 0801 from Heartlands, probably 6741. Will it get under the bridge on the 5 route?

I think the bridge is 14' 3" if I remember correctly. NX's Enviro 400 MMC's are 14' 2", so they'd be fine getting under there like the 42**'s.

I don't doubt that they did check before putting one on there.

I think there's 3 on there.

Yes, Enviro 400MMCs are 14'2" tall, one inch shorter than B7/ALX400s

I think you've mentioned previously that the AG Platinums would be okay for the 5, and as they have appeared on that route on a few occasions, I didn't doubt it would be a problem. ;)

Although the intention is to use the crimson E400s to upgrade the 11A/C, I suppose the 5 was taken into consideration when it came to allocating 'spare' vehicles. Good forward thinking!

11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley

Unless the Outer Circle Pvr has reduced lately, it was always thought to be in the region of the low forties i.e if that's still the case, there won't be enough Crimson E400MMC's to fully convert the Outer Circle, let along spares for other AG routes. Only 38 were set to join AG (6110-6148)

There were never enough Gemini either - only 35, so the ALX400 always were and still are at present operating alongside them. I think it was said 6110 is staying at PN as well, with 6111 - 6148 (38) mobving to AG.
Presumably it will be mostly MMC, with some Crimson Gemini on the 11, alongside them.
Similarly to how there were never enough Gemini (4508 - 4519, 4521 - 4523 and 4660 - 4679 - a total of 35) for the 11, so it has always been operated by Gemini with B7TL ALX400 operating alongside them.

Why has the ticket machine been removed

I suspect each garage has their own, rather than them moving with the bus.

Normally machines would stay on the bus on transfers, but there are complications here as for instance the new buses are going into YW, but they are not withdrawing any to take them off, so there is a chain effect

so the ticket machines that are on these MMCs will be removed and put onto the platinums and they will receiver new ones

Yes, I realise that now. I think I was just being polite :), rather than saying that knowing what AG are like for allocating vehicles, it is more beneficial for them to have more buses of a type that 'could' be utilised on the 5/73 (E400) if one happened to be lying about the garage, than of a type that couldn't be (Gemini).  ;D

I presume the MMCs will receive ticket machines from the buses that are being withdrawn from AG, rather than new ones.

Lots are not of these new arrivals are not on there intended routes today.
There are 2 on the X12  - 6125 and 6141.
Then 4 on the 72 - 6136. 6143, 6148. I recall seeing 4 on the 72 while I was waiting for and on the X2. 6148 at the Station. Another by JLR heading into Solihull and 2 in convey heading into Solihull at the Wheatsheaf. At approximately 12:20.

Didn't see any on the 11, just Gemini and ALX400.

Well generally during these kinds of 'transition periods' allocations do go all over the place, so it is to be expected. Once all the vehicles have finished transferring, and parking positions become consistent, then allocations will become smoother.
