Can't understand why they won't repair 1926?
they won't repair 1926 because it suffered alot more damage than 4520 and it will cost alot of money for replacement parts so they won't fix 1926 at all.

There has been E200MMCs on the one almost every weekday for the last couple of weeks. 1926 isn't written off yet, and the time period for the repair of 4520 is not known yet
Tony, When i went for my tour around YW, they told me that 4520 will take 1Year to repair and 1926 will not be fixed at all.

I'm no expert on the matter, but I'm pretty sure that if a 10 year old bus was going to be off the road for a year being repaired, it is probably not worth doing so and would be scrapped.

I also don't know the extent of the damage, and what's involved in repairing such damage, but if there was some similar scrapped vehicle elsewhere, they could 'transplant' the front part of the body off. This would also depend on the extent of the damage to the chassis.

The moral of the story is don't believe everything you're told, don't forget someone at YW also told someone here that they had over 500 buses!  ;)

And I am sure that if 1926 was to be withdrawn, it would have gone by now!
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

I've seen 2212 loads of times on the 37, so I'm not quite sure why you think it is 'evading its route'.

I don't know what YW is going to do with 1926. They will either fix it which is not going to happen is what i've been told or they, as you said may just withdraw 1926 completely.
