Speaking of the 'P' suffix, has BC stopped using 97p on the display? I haven't seen it in a while...
It is still being used saw a 44** in Chelmsley Wood by Asda yesterday @clayderman with 97p Pine Square on the destination

I was surprised to read in "Coach and Bus Weekly" today that the E200MMC's are the 11.5m 4 cylinder version, but there is a very favourable road test on 2221.

Stevo

Four cylinder -really? They always sounded a bit like that, but they've got plenty of poke.

Gareth

The new 400's are four cylinder too I think.

No - ADL doesn't offer the 4 cylinder Cummins in the E400 as it's only 4.5 litres and wouldn't be adequate.

I may have got my litres and cylinders mixed up. But I thought I'd seen somewhere that they both have the same engine. Shows I'm not a technically minded person!

The 6 cylinder engine (6.7 litre) is available in both the 200 and 400 models whilst the 4 cylinder (4.5 litre) is only used in the 200 version.

If you have a look at at the ADL website http://www.alexander-dennis.com and select Products and then Single Deck Bus or Double Deck, you'll find loads and loads of technical data, 90% of which means nothing to me either!

That's probably because he's used to the B7RLE's, the most gutless full size single deck buses I have ever driven.
