Whats the point in a route branding if its going to appear elsewere i.e 2152 Branded 35 MPD dart

Because, as I've already said, the 9 and 35 don't run on a Sunday. You may have noticed that the branded buses are almost always appearing off route on Sundays...

What Im saying is on a Sunday there must be a quarter of the garage full with unbranded bus, considering the 9/35 don't run into the late evening they couldn't be the buses easiest to get at  ::), so why use a branded bus ?????

Well i was in walsall on friday and there were route branded buses off route then so I agree with nathan there is no point branding buses if you cannot commit to putting them on the right routes

Well during the week it's a bit silly, but on a Sunday when the routes don't run, Arriva might intend to advertise the existance of the branded route in other areas by sending the buses out on different routes.

However, I suppose it could be argued not many people in Dudley are going to have any intention of catching Walsall/Lichfield routes.

I'm pretty sure there is other ways to advertise a new route than place the branded bus off route in Dudley;D

No harm in doing it though, if it's the most conveniently parked bus in the depot, then no reason not to, it's not like the 142/257 goes anywhere near Walsall or Lichfield so no risk of confusion. I don't think any passengers really care if their bus is branded for a different route

I think passengers do actually not so much care but can get confused by it especially if the display isnt working properly. Not an issue here where arriva use the same base livery for the branding but elsewhere ie the north east/trent barton even some first/stagecoach routes it could be very confusing and some passengers were very confused by a wessex connect mpd the other day....

It was on what I took to be a slightly late 13.15 from Bilston - difficult to work out how many buses the 334 has because traveline doesn't seem to have any Bradford Place times and when I left slightly later all Darlaston routes were running around ten minutes late!
