20536 wasn't on the 002/127 that day so I assume it was out to cover a breakdown somewhere along the line. 30408 is a beast, love that bus. It should be out on the 002/127 combo today. It's become the bus I drive most of the time for Diamond now as I'm the regular 002/127 driver at the moment.

Off topic, but a few 30408 facts for you....
Strangely 30408 isn't the most popular bus with some of the drivers, the seating position for the driver is different to anything else in the fleet. The doors opening and closing on it have to be done one step at a time on it as well.... Handbrake on, doors open but if you want it to kneel you have to wait until the doors have been open a second or two, then if you want to bring the front back up, you have to close the doors first wait a couple of seconds then push the up switch and it will come up, then release the handbrake, if it's not done in that exact order it won't move!!. There is a bit of a knack to getting the nearside mirror positioned on it properly as well. It's also got a nickname "The brick" (Never actually asked why but I assume it's the shape).

It's definitely unique in the Diamond fleet, but really is a nice bus once you get used to driving it and it's little quirks :-)

Paul.

Metrorider, what is the 002 / 127. Does that mean that Diamond are doing some journeys on the 127?

Diamond do the Blackheath to Dudley section on a night of the 127 (their replacement of the 205.)

One board off the 002 does it (1827 ex merry hill I think) but it has to be a hanover display on that bus, hence 30408 being on there

Thanks for that, yes, I'd forgotten Diamond's 205 would have been renumbered 127.

Why does the bus have to be fitted with a hanover display?

There is a temporary software problem with service 127 on the mobitec displays, hence the need for Hanover at the moment.

Are you driving 002 today? If so which one?

Noticed 30811 looking very smart on Saturday on the 002. Out of interest is 30806 back in blue or still in 002 green?

For those who don't know, 30002 was also out on the 4H on Saturday :)
