Kind of strange how bad most of these Scanias look.  When was the last time they were painted?

From when they were new.

The '58' and '09' plates at WA in Red/White haven't been painted since new apart from 1896 which was fully repainted and refurbed in late 2013. The '57' plates were repainted in 2014/5.

Explains why they look worse than the Tridents/Gemini's (except 4128 and a few others)

Just re-done my website.  Check it out to see all my photos.  Updated almost every day!

ALX400 B7TLs are a mess. 4226, 4257, 4274, 4275, 4289 are the worst ones I've seen. 4173 is the worst Trident I've seen. All the Gemini's (in red/white) look fine.

Noooooo! That one was always smart. The paint always went with its interior. Looked smart still aswell. 4251 was the smartest at WB with its connection bars, whereas 4275 looks a right mess and 4274's rear is abit all over the place. Don't get why the didn't start with the more tatty ones first.

Have you actually looked at that photo on flikr?

How on earth can you say it looked smart? It's a disgrace, different whites on the side, random patterns on the rear where a megarear has pulled the varnish off. Bashed lower panels and completely the wrong shade of red

The rear has always been a mess but the offside and nearside looked smart in my opinion. No missing connection bars. Eventhough the rear has been ruined it will still be a favourite of mine.
A disgrace is 4275. Looking at the photo from the 8th July, I can see repainted lower panels in two shades of white, missing connection bars and some dented panels. 4251 looked a lot better. Maybe you should blame the AD Agency for putting too much of that sticky stuff (hot glue) to the rear AD and pulling the paint away.
Some of WA's Crimson Omnilinks have signs of salmon pink from their previous livery. I call that a mess.

Can't say I've seen any signs of salmon pink showing through on WA's Scanias, or any of the Scanias. Miles better in the Crimson and done to a good standard. Only improvement I would say that needs implementing is the internal poles being resprayed; for some reason some of WA seem to have been done at some stage, but the likes of YW's haven't.

Have a look at some of the photos of them. The picture of 1881 from the 19th June has signs of salmon pink. If you look closely at the near side arm for the wing mirror you can see a patch of pink, especially in the sun. They look better in Crimson. I've just seen it on some of WA's, 1881 is the worst I've seen. It's let's the fleet down really. Been looking at 4431 in Crimson now and I've seen salmon pink right above the front upper deck windows. It's a shame as the Crimson is extremely smart, especially when it's been freshly painted.

Some of the poles have been repainted on Omnilinks and there is some that are orange. PB's 186* and 187* are all resprayed.

I think the pink-ish colour of 1881 on that photo is just the lighting, it looks fine on it's most recent picture where it's not in full on sunlight. I'm guessing it doesn't look pink at all in person, since photos aren't always accurate.

Given 2167 would be the first Coventry Volvo to be repainted,is it going to get what the Enviros for the 11/12 received or not?
Don't judge me until you've walked in my size ten shoes.

Gareth

Judging by a comment made on here recently, I'm guessing, although not willing to put money on, that we may see something different on 2167.

I guess we will have to wait and see.

Seems early for a 4 year old bus to be getting a repaint when there are a lot of 2011/12 buses still not done. Is this one in for a specific reason or is it just the first of the 2013 batch to go in?
