QuoteThe 88 is the only time I've experienced Kevs (yet), and the drivers seemed very nice and always in a good mood when I got on. It's sad Diamond run the 88 now but I'll definitely go on more Kevs routes when I'm out, which routes would you recommend, is there any interesting ones?
I'd recommend the 318, as it has a good run through the countryside between Stourbridge and Bromsgrove, same with the 147.

QuoteWould I be correct in thinking the Castle Gate 'pick up point' is by the Dudley KFC?
I would assume so for any buses starting there, yes.

Quote6987 - 87E Castle Gate wherever that is lol
The island where the Zoo end of the Duncan Edwards Way in Dudley is (its the next junction from Burnt Tree Island Interchange on the 74/87/126).

Quite a convenient turn around point without having to go into Dudley to turn when being amended to run as a short.

I think previously Burnt Tree Island would have been used as a short turn, before they turned into lights.

QuoteCan't find any reference to this operator. What else do you know about them Tony?
It's owned by James Boddice, the ex Midland Classic MD. Their operating Centre is at Royal Farm Business Park in Drakelow

QuoteHas anyone any photographic evidence of the existence of  a vehicle registered JW65BUS - I've tried google and all I could find was a note on a photo of  EsomethingRRT.
.
Where does bustimes get its registration info from?
I'd have thought operators using fleetnumbers only entered that in the machine?
The ExRRT plate was a private plate which replaced the JW65GSW at Red Rose. Red Rose use private plates on a number of their vehicles.

JW65 was new to Whitelaw - @Tony has photographed it https://wmbusphotos.com/NONWM/SW/WhitelawsJW65GSW.html

QuoteConsidering that Julian Peddle has a majority share in Select and that both companies come under the Centrebus Group umbrella sure it is...
Select isn't part of centrebus

QuoteJust wondering how bus times have recently managed to get entire running boars information.
Part of the requirement for BODS as It's now mandatory for all operators to provide running / block numbers to BODS.

Won't some of the Dudley services also run to Wolverhampton?

QuoteThe 126 could run limited stop from B'ham to Wolverhampton Road and be numbered X11
Or extended to Wolvo (with the Limited stop section on the Hagley Rd) and renumbered X8A...

QuoteAhh yes. I'm sure that's a low bridge route?
It's the Diamond 17 that goes under a low bridge in Cradley (ironically the one that 4253 got deroofed on back in 2009... ironically the billboard near it had an advert for Nationwide "strong... stable..."!

QuotePresumbly in case Nx ever take over the service for any reason.

Does that mean Walsall has the 326 programmed 'just in case'?
To be fair, WA have done the 326 before.

Just stick some Midland Red logos on it (and a badger maybe) and it'd be a good modern day spin on the classic Midland Red 😀

QuoteI have it as not running until the take over and gaining 9451. Do you know if it ever carried 1028?

1020 is another mystery
1028 had seen service with Midland Rider - I've photographed it on the 194 and on a Wythall day 758 car park shuttle as well as at the old Aston Manor

QuoteThats interesting Tony, theyll be the most modern buses in Cannock if they do run there. I wish they'd run into Hednesford, they'd wipe the floor with the Pye Geeen Circular
But that would import delays from Birmingham up to Hednesford and thus have a certain Cannock area based correspondent moaning
