Stagecoach / Re: Stagecoach in Warwickshire
November 01, 2022, 11:13:45 PM
The quote from Stagecoach would suggest the diversion starts from Skipworth Rd roundabout and ends at Brandon gyratory so the diversion is most likely via Skipworth Rd, B4428 to Brinklow, B4455 to Bretford and A428 to Brandon.
Bustimes indicates over the past few evenings the buses are going via Brinklow but its is rather pot luck what is being served, some miss out Brandon Road in Coventry yet some continue to serve the 'unserved' Morrisons stop and turnaround, some have completely missed out Brandon and Wolston villages - not trying to tar Stagecoach with this as I'm sure the same antics would have occurred with any other operator.

Quote from: don on October 09, 2022, 07:29:03 PMHowever, there are 130 new buses in delivery progress. There are generally around 160 NXC buses required. Based on recent repaints, it looks like there will be 10 E200s around for a couple of years yet, so what will the other 20 be - B7RLE or E400, or some of each?

A bigger question is what will replace them? Single deck electrics?

I think there will still be a bit of interest there!!

Did you forget to add the original 10x electrics to the equation?
In any case it still anyone's guess when there is red herrings such as the rumour of the X1 service moving to Coventry.  But I will think a minimum of 10x B7RLE will certainly remain as a few will be needed for the low bridge service 20B and perhaps the existing Mon-Sat 20A/20C (& 20 in the evening) keeping them together on the Foleshill Rd.

On CV 2150 the flip down seat nearest to the wheelchair headrest doesn't flip down to quite the correct angle. :cheesy:

CV 843 not tracking on the 16:09 inbound service 19 today.

CV 2147 is stuck on the same GPS location for at least two weeks now, however it still logs the journeys operated.

Quote from: Ben on August 20, 2022, 04:50:43 PMHas anybody noticed issues with the reliability of service 8, twice weekday afternoon departures have failed to turn up and I wondered what had happened. And yes I gave plenty of time before it was due in case it was early.

I've had the same with one particular journey on the 17/17A being missing on Mon and Thur both this week and last week, like clockwork you would think, and very frustrating when it's your last leg home (of four buses per day) yet the other services I use were exemplary.

https://nxbus.co.uk/coventry/service-updates/service-changes-from-sunday-4th-september-2022

Hmm, The new 3 timetable (on Traveline and TfWM) was initally showing Sunday journeys terminating at Hen Lane but has since been amended/updated and will continue to serve Arena Park during Sunday daytimes - so maybe TfWM has stepped in to fund this or just a plain error?.

The withdrawn school services 57/58/58A are being replaced to some extent with new school services 53/54/55

The 25th Sept timetables for the 2 and 12X are now on Traveline surprisingly well in advance.
Service 2 is having it's evening service obliterated - the 20:00 from Pool Meadow to Canley Road will be the last bus of each day.

Quote from: Coventrybususer95 on August 15, 2022, 11:40:45 AMIt looks like a change is happening to the 2 from the 25th of September let's hope there adding the other bus back

There is, as yet, no variation on the registration for service 1 which likely indicates the change on the 2 isn't going to be anything significant such as improved to half-hourly, in spite of last year's reduction being fobbed off as "temporary".  The variation detail does say 'Timetable change to reflect passenger demand' but I would expect it is just a tinkering of some journeys at the edges of the daytime such as the hours of 6am or 7pm.

Quote from: Coventrybususer95 on August 10, 2022, 08:10:32 PMIt's seems that 3 school routes are being cut including the S36, 58, 58A,

I am all for this, they need to concentrate on providing a reliable service on core public bus routes which are currently suffering with missing journeys on a daily basis... and don't get me started on the jollies of 'Private Hire' which you mentioned in the tracker thread.

I agree with your desire to improve service 2, although it didn't carry huge loads it still fared much better than service 1 which to this day I still don't understand the purpose of.

Some of the new timetables are on the TfWM or Traveline websites... and there's another surprise in the timetable for service 3 - Sunday journeys seemingly start/finish at Hen Lane.
Should we really be surprised as Arena Park is a car-centric retail park.

Lythalls Lane fares slightly better with having evening and Sunday service re-instated.
It should be pointed out Lythalls Lane terminus isn't really that far from Arena Park, only about a 7/8 minute walk to the middle of Tesco concourse and when you take into account the new 5 will miss out Everdon Rd along with the 4/5 mins the bus took from LL to AP plus the two minute walk from AP bus station to Tesco - A journey from Coundon to Tesco will likely take less time (for a normal fit person) despite extra walking.

Quote from: Coventrybususer95 on July 26, 2022, 08:23:32 PMLooks like the 5 will no longer serve the Arena park

However it is improved to half-hourly up until Holbrook Lane where users can change to a service 3, this will offer more regular travel options for those who require the link between Coundon/Radford and Arena Park despite the required change of bus.

A Crazy diversion on the Coventry 24 service this week, well now two diversions currently resulting in it going past the junction of the A45 and St Martins Rd three times on an 'outbound' journey and a rather long approx. 35 minutes between the first and third time. Click here for tracking example.
