The Archive / Bus Driving Experience Days...
January 06, 2014, 11:38:15 PM
Okay everyone... so it seems there's a track or flight experience day available for most things out there if you really look. Back in the day, and probably even now, the "Golden Book of Dreams" company beginning with A, ending in S used to do such events for a price. Nowadays with the ease of access online, there are many options for fulfilling the petrol-head dream....

Now...

Bus driving experiences!!

Do you think I can find anything of the sort in my quest to quench the thirst to drive a double decker? Okay... well, there IS perhaps one or two who for a fee, have some vintage Routemasters or DM9's? But going by my user id, you can all guess what I want to test drive, right ;)

So - does anyone have any contacts of someone - someone who can help? I have a bog standard car licence, nothing else.

Thanks for reading!

The Archive / Metrobus DR102/xx
January 06, 2014, 06:27:47 PM
Something I have wondered for a long time, and not managed to get the data relating to...

Can anyone provide me with an explanation of what the DR102/xx specifications relate to, or more to the point - which Metrobus models these relate? i.e  MI, MKII, MKIIA, DP? I have an old West Midlands handbook/fleet number book which shows, obviously, tables of fleet listings to include Metros in the region but again, I do not know how the DR's relate.

By the way, only six days late but happy new year to all.

The Archive / MCW Washwood Heath
January 03, 2014, 08:58:50 PM
Hello all,

My first post here after discovering this very interesting and specialist board...

Does anyone have any photos of the beloved Metro's actually being built at Washwood Heath? I would be most impressed if anyone has :)

Cheers
