QuoteI foresee these headlines appearing in the next few years:

LABOUR MAYOR ASKS FOR REFUND FOR THE MAGICAL SEEDS HE BOUGHT - APPARENTLY MONEY TREES DON'T ACTUALLY GROW MONEY ON THEM!

NO LECCY, NO LIKEY! LABOUR REALISES THAT NATIONALISING THE UTILITIES DOESN'T WORK AND IS A TAD EXPENSIVE.

(The following day's headline) PARKER'S ELECTRIC BUSES SIT IDLE AS UNFORTUNATELY THEY CAN'T RUN ON ONLY HIS HOT AIR!

(Followed closely by...) DIESEL IS BACK! PARKER SIGNS DEAL WITH WYTHALL TRANSPORT MUSEUM TO GET REPLACEMENT VEHICLES FOR HIS ELECTRICS.

LABOUR DECIDES TO NATIONALISE ITSELF!!!

(And in 4 years time hopefully!!!) STREET'S AHEAD, AT LAST THIS NIGHTMARE CAN END 🤣🤣🤣

Because 45 years of the right wing sh!tshow (& the bleeding idiots that vote for more of the same) has made the country such a wonderful place...

QuoteE004 and E017 please. Of all the YW electrics, these are proving elusive.

Unless its been moved in the last month, E004 is easy to find, parked in the Wheatley St overflow:

QuoteI have an nbus card and it plays up as well only works on certain stagecoach  buses.

Unlike on NX/Diamond etc buses (where you hold the card on the reader), try holding the card 2-3 inches over the sensor.

 - Works for me every time on Stagecoach Rugby vehicles

QuoteNot Arriva this time, but just goes to show how the whole train fare setup penalises long-distance travellers.

I'm heading off to Borth in Wales next month again. NationalRail.co.uk is quoting a return ticket at £67.80 from Birmingham New Street to Borth, on the Transport For Wales service to Aberystwyth via Shrewsbury.

Checking on SplitMyFare.co.uk, it is cheaper to buy two tickets, splitting this time at Caersws.

#1 - Birmingham New Street to Caersws - Off-Peak Return - £32.10
#2 - Caersws to Borth - Off-Peak Return - £22.70

(Interestingly last time I checked, for a journey in July, which I didn't end up making, the split point was at Welshpool)

Not that much of a saving compared to my last trip, but still, every little helps, as they say.

... Or you could get:

Birmingham - Dovey Junction, anytime Day Return £28.30 &
Dovey Junction - Borth, anytime Day Return £4.30

So,  £32.60 ;-)

QuoteHe won't as he and national express promised in 2022 that bus fares won't go up till 2025

Yet another tory Pinocchio, who knew?

Anyway, just point a camera in his direction. That usually does the trick.

QuoteIt's £1.20 for confessions

To be fair, the Catholic Church is already worth some $30bn...
