I used to use the AS1 down the Coventry Rd save waiting for the 900. I don't know if its the same/will be the same, although I did have trouble getting the bus to stop sometimes along the Coventry rd, but I haven't used it for a good while now
Does anyone know what the reg of the plain white double door E200 operating at Birmingham Airport on Sunday evening was. It think the reg may have started with DX10, but not to sure?
Can't find an existing thread.
;
BK10EJZ now carries BUS 18
& what exactly makes you think that it's numbered BUS18 ?? ;)
DD18 GAS (Scania Biogas bus) & LF67 EVV (Volvo 7900E) are currently parked at the coach park at Birmingham Airport currently, with the latter branded for Birmingham Airport trials.
edit Not sure where the 7900E is at the moment, but the BYD Demo is here now as well.
Second edit: here's two photos of the aforementioned buses (except the BYD)

These going to be put into service? Never seen a double decker before working at the airport?
I assume due for APH, 6 x new Volvo 7900e due in November at Birmingham Airport:

I believe they're for BHX's own operation, covering on-site car park shuttles.

Fair play, I wasn't sure if APH ran those or not, haven't been to the airport for a while.

Not a problem. APH still use MetroAtrocities on their run to Hams Hall & Airparks use King Wrongs & a Solo to Garrett's Green.

Of course, it's Airparks I'm getting mixed up with.

Indeed, to replace the current fleet of 4 MAN MCVs, 2 Citaros and an E200
Airparks King Long BX15MLZ turned up at Wythall Transport Museum today and even did a trip up to Maypole :D I believe it's a recent transfer from Luton, looking at photos

Pantographs undergoing installation at Birmingham Airport, ahead of the arrival of the 6 electric buses later this year
Demonstrator LF67 EVV is also parked in the coach park at the moment
LF67 EYV on Airport Car Park duties today.
Seen by the Terminals 12:10.
Birmingham Airport have 2 new Volvo 7500 Electric buses.
Ones in use on car park runs and other one is parked up at the coach/car park
Y2 BHX: https://flic.kr/p/2hVGDap
Y5 BHX did a trip to car park 7 today with the merc running the other service
I went out to photograph the electric buses last week - two were on charge in the bus park just north of International station, and when the first one arrived at the Airport Terminal the pantograph came down and immediately retracted, although that may have been because it was having a driver change. If they can (or need to) take two out of service at a time to recharge are the gantries anything other than a gimmick?
The next one did however stay connected during its layover.
The old NCP bus s are stored back the cargo terminal u can see them from the mail rd saw at least one there
Y4 BHX at Ward End, Fox and Goose this morning on Bromford Lane. Looks like it was heading back to Birmingham Airport from somewhere. Strange seeing it there.
Where have the MCVs and 2 mercs gone now they are no longer needed at the airport?
