Arriva brand set for a refresh
After 20 years, Arriva, one of Europe's largest transport companies, is set to embark on a refresh of its brand. A more modern identity, including a refreshed logo and brighter colours, will be applied across the group in a phased introduction. A formal launch takes place tomorrow (Thursday)
The cost effective and evolutionary approach will see the new colours and livery rolled out from Q1 2017 as and when vehicles and other materials are due to be updated. The refreshed logo is expected to be introduced from 2018.
Gill Singh, Arriva Bus, Marketing and NPD Director says: "The Arriva brand is now 20 years old and works well across a range of transport markets.
"However, our logo has changed little since 1997 so we are introducing, on a low cost and evolutionary basis, a refresh to our identity that retains the essence of Arriva and supports our growth plans."
I've seen people mentioning this. The new logo will take some adapting to (if it is the one that I've seen).
Apparently, Arriva will no longer be investing in Sapphire or Max spec buses.

Yeah thats the one I've seen. There's been a lot of liveries thrown around that I've seen as well.
Could this mean that the 8 or 9 vehicles at Cannock still in pre Interurban liveries actually get a repaint. not holding my breath on that.

They will apparently but the Sapphire & Max brands will be renamed. Sapphire will become Premium & Max will become Express.

The lettering is fine but that logo is appalling! Looks like a nursery class project to design a logo it's that bad! Why not use the new lettering with the old logo?
I wouldn't imagine Cannocks shitelites would ever be able to be considered premium 😂😂😂😂😂😂
2377 has now been painted

Bob, they are for Cannock mate!
Not really the Volvos would be better for 1 and 2. They're on there regularly anyway
2379 is in paint at the min
Which explains why I didn't see it round Stafford last week

Old logo, surely not even Arriva would launch half a new image
..... well yes hopefully will end up like this......

If that's it, it looks cheap and bland, even the very old MRN scheme used by Midland classic looks 100% better.

The logo won't come into effect until 2018.
Why the delay, something else going on?

Why would they Pulsars be put into Sapphire livery???? Did you say green as well? Didn't know sapphire had green on tbf
The new colours on the Arriva Cymru vehicle look good. Hopefully the Derby repaint was partial and not completed because that was truly awful.
Why would anyone of cannock pulsars need to be sapphired tho? The sapphires have been a flop in cannock
Route 5 that goes between Telford and Stafford would be a good candidate. It's a long route and would have the most benefit of phone chargers and WiFi. Additionally, the vehicles normally running on this route would appear 'halfway' there as it already has the e-leather seating.
The only other candidate in Telford would be the 4 as it's the most profitable.

Yikes. If this looks "modern" I think I should invest in a time machine.
I don't think 4222 as photographed is the finished version - see link below

If the picture in the link attached is a guide,it's not too bad.

Actually, I really quite like this new livery.
The more I look at it the more I like it including the logo.
Another repaint, this time from Wales.
Seems that leather seating is being fitted as part of the rebrand on buses that don't already have it

The new livery does seem to quite suit E200MMCs

The "Free WiFi" and "USB Charging" makes the destination board look cluttered.
Icons should have been used instead.

Good spot. Can't say I'm too keen on that shade of purple on light blue
