From various meetings at WB we have been informed  the knock down of the bus station starts early Jan, 87 will terminate Ednam st, layovers on priory or Broadway to be used. Toilets restroom to be provided as well.
should be all fun and games then.

Rumour mill in full swing at west brom 50 and 82/87 to be merged to create a cross city service.
I seriously hope not, 50/82 to be operated by yardley wood and 50/87 westbrom.
There was an article in the Birmingham Mail back in January that the 50 82/87 corridors will have 28 million pounds spent on bus priority measures so that has got me thinking it's plausible.
History tells you cross city routes ultimately fail.

National Express West Midlands / Help with old photos
December 14, 2019, 04:46:29 PM
Greetings all been a while.

I would like some help in finding pictures of buses on the 82 service from brum to harborne island I told was that the terminus point and relief point was there, so I am led to believe,
before Hockley garage it was quinton garage that operated that service.
Did Ailsas ever work that route I know they did on the 87s

I am sure I have seen a picture on google some where I just can't find it now.

Other Operators / Mystery TFL ALX400
February 04, 2019, 09:55:39 AM
Yesterday around quarter to five, ish at the merrivale Langley I noticed a TFL liveried bus turning right at the island towards dog kennel lane , all I got from the reg was LX53, it was ALEXANDER ALX400 bodywork with dual doors, destination box had a bright green blank display , I assume it was on private hire as it did have people on board, or the driver is very very lost.
Any ideas?

Which  is better and why , appreciate any views

IMO the Crimson livery probably best one out there to suit the body design, platinum would look great.

I would love to  hear stories, memories of former garages, Oldbury,Dudley, quinton, harts hill, lea hall, I know there are many other garages that have fallen , may be some one who knows could compile a full list, services and vehicles types operated on those sites. Every garage I,ve ever been to has its own way of doing things , there own character in a way. Please feel to add or change the thread title.

National Express West Midlands / Scenic routes
July 24, 2014, 11:08:24 AM
I would like some suggestions on routes that go through country side , villages. Do nx operate any such routes or have they vanished long ago. When I use to visit hewitts international salvage Auction I used the long stretch of road that goes past himley hall I did metrobuses out in the greens , I used to feel envious of those drivers being out here complete opposite to the crap I do.

National Express West Midlands / Shorty enviro 200
July 19, 2014, 10:06:26 AM
IMO these do look good when compared  to the vehicles they are replacing vast improvement some might say. Haven't experienced a ride on one yet  so can't comment on that. Look forward to getting one on the 83/89 service as change bus should be a laugh. The red paintwork does seem a deeper shade of red.

National Express West Midlands / Adl garages
July 16, 2014, 07:03:17 PM
So Wolverhampton is to become an exclusive adl bus based garage. My question is now which other garages have the potential to follow suit if at all possible . Should generate some interesting ideas I think.
