4870 again on second X51 from Cannock.

Is this supposed to be a regular thing, if theres still Platties off the road?

I know I saw a red & white recently on a 997 so there must be some sort of rota?

Also, the 77 departure around 7am from Walsall has managed to break down in the middle of Hatherton Road!

Standard Enviro 400's are used on Platinum routes when there's not enough Platinum's available. They mainly end up putting them on peak boards, and I think the second morning Cannock is a peak board. That's why it ends up being a standard Enviro 400 sometimes. Same with the afternoon Boney Hay 937. That's a peak board, which is why standard Enviro 400's get on it commonly.

It's not a Walsall route, but the 126 also gets Enviro 400's on it on occasion, albeit I've only ever seen the Hybrid ones on there.

Any views/comments are my own and do not reflect those of my employer.

More drivers route learning the X51?

Two sitting at the front by the driver on 6724 this morning.

Maybe they're gonna increase it or something. Pity they never increase the cannock end 😐

As Hybrids are the only other compliant Decker WN have.

Obviously your not going to see standard E400 on there, because Wolverhampton don't have any!

Ah, didn't think of that, cheers. Are Tridents compliant or not, since the 126 used to be operated by them iirc, or was the regulations changed around the time it became a Platinum route?

They don't have traps so are Euro 3.
Any bus service entering Birmingham City Centre has to use Euro 4+ vehicles. Routes with less than 3 buses per hour with frequencies of every 30 minutes or less, like the X70 and A52 are excluded from it.

Tridents aren't compliant. Plattys were on the 126 in September 2016 before the more recent rules came in May. Hybrids are now used instead of Tridents.

WB 89 is every 30 Minutes, see's any ALX400, compliant or not.

4586 is compliant but the chances of it being available in the event of a breakdown are very slim!

Are the Tridents allowed on the 529s? they used to have such a nice fleet or ZFs.

Is that a 'prototype' one off from the non-Birmingham garaged members of that batch or is their a ongoing programme planned?

I think it had a new engine fitted at one point. I think it's Euro 4. Or is that 4186? There was a swap between 4175 and 4186 years ago because one was fitted with an AdBlue tank. They were swapped from BC and WN. I may be confusing 4186 and 4586.

Tridents are fine on 529. They often appear on the route. I had 4545 yesterday.

Both 4186 and 4586 have a newer Euro 4 engine, 4586 was a one off done years ago.
