the article in the link i posted   it  says  6 drivers will have been made redundent  .
on the tendered bus service finish  as coniston is  still trading  just  coaching .

I was under the impression Coniston Coaches were continuing to operate thier contracts untill rendering formal redundancy terms would be issued to the drivers who will continue untill cessation but the local authority could in theory TUPE the drivers on thier contracts to the new operator.

The WCC contracts have been handed back by Coniston, therefore, they will need to be re-tendered either on a permanent or emergency basis by any new operator, it's unlikely TUPE will apply in this instance.

Yes more than likely to be fair as the contracts have been handed back not taken over

a light blue optare  was operating  the 15c  today around 12.30 it was a 08 plate  could not  get full reg, no markings or legal lettering on it     . nothing in display  only card in windscreen  ,    not seen it before

Probably SN08 BZA - has been with Coniston as long as the other ex-Lothian Solos but in blue.

thanks sam not seen it before . only see the red minicoaches/buses usual now . a news of who is take over ? the routes .

anyone know whats going here as  they where giving up  there wcc tenders and  contracts . over the last 2 days i heard they where keeping them,  and also  they are still giving them up ?.

just seen on a website  astons will be starting on the 15a/15c/s15/294/296 from april 19th.   nothing about  the the 133/213/580 yet
