98E to Rednal, live at the terminus and haven't seen one of those for a while, was told in August that the 98 doesn't do untimetabled Es anymore

The first one on Sunday morning is a 98E to Rednal

The first 98 everyday is an E to Rednal, just got one home (as per usual, I was the only person on it, shame the Longbridge development didn't go through with NX's offer to build a garage in Longbridge!), I meant untimetabled 98Es, as these are no longer AVL monitored

Longbridge?

Depending on the size, would that have been additional to Yardley Wood (next nearest? ) or replacing it?

I was under the impression more capacity was needed in the north of the city (Perry Barr? ) than the south!

What routes would Longbridge have taken up apart from the south west of city routes?

Gareth

I recall that rumour of a garage at Longbridge going back at least 10years. Supposed to be a new 'super garage' replacing a couple of existing garages.

Possibly Bristol Road and Pershore Road, maybe some other South Birmingham routes such as 18, 49, 84, 98/X64

Perry Barr could have then transferred the Sutton Lines, or a few other of their Birmingham routes to Central to relieve capacity at Perry Barr

Just saw a 904E to "Chester Road The Yenton" heading north through Erdington
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

From what I've seen the 71 doesn't seem that reliable with the new timetable - seen a few 71Es to Minworth from Solihull and 71s following each other

Not uncommon these days, am surprised that garage journeys don't terminate at Russells Hall rather than either Dudley or Stourbridge to cut down on dead mileage.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

I think the 71's trouble are a lot to do the roadworks on the A452 Chester Road, been some terrible q's on the roads near the M6 Junction 5, recently including tonight. Doesn't look like it's going to get any better with winter coming. Also eveytime their is an incident on the m6 it effects all of them 71,28 & 966 etc.
