Must say AVL are usually extremely good at running buses on the 11A/11C back to time. Numerous times have I been greeted by a 11A turning left from the hagley road to Lordswood road. The 126 nowadays doesn't seem very reliable it seems as over the past week I've seen quite a few red mmcs running NIS

I'm pretty sure the Outer Circle isn't managed by AVL but by AG themselves.

Not a loan. It is an AG working

Does this particular working do a full journey to and/ or from Northfield or is it a E working and then back to AG.

I do find these types of workings quite unusual but also interesting.

I doubt it, as a rough calculation, during the day the 11 takes 2 hours and 30 minutes and 20 buses are needed for the A route and 19 for the C route (if my calculations are correct). So that's 39 buses before you consider peak hour boards, vehicles under examination or repair. Therefore if 6101 -10 are going somewhere, it's bound to be AG.

I'm sure it was stated on here that the PVR for the 11A/C was around 44. I do remember reading that on here although whether its true is something I can't verify. Given the calculation you've laid out, it doesn't seem far fetch.

This new map feature seems quite nifty, makes judging running for the bus easier ;)

It would seems as though some of the problems come from the fact that the app doesn't seemingly update while the bus is on the move ? Do you have to manually refresh the stop to constantly track the bus ?

I use the app on the daily basis and while it isn't perfect, its been working sufficiently well enough for me to rely most of the time. I've yet to use this "upgraded" version. What does the new app offer over the old version ? A friend of mine upgraded a while back and mentioned a few issues so I refrained from updating.

4639 spotted in Lye, presumably returning from MOT

I was of the belief that AG buses go to CV for MOT ?

Tony, I believe towards the beginning of this year, you mentioned that you'll try to get a new photo of every bus in the fleet (I assume active buses).

I was wondering with 2018 nearly over, how is that endeavor going ?

From what I've seen, by in large, many of the buses have have 2018 as their latest photos, quite a few have 2017. 17 branded 1790 has 2014 ! Given your fairly busy work schedule and the fact this probably doesn't constitute part of it, your efforts are most commendable. I was lucky enough to get a walk around at PN and of the many photos I took, I've hardly got round uploading any and that was roughly 2016 !

Screens are a useful tool on buses. I'm often conscious about whose on the bus (More so when I catch it it late at night) so it helps to see who is where.

Roughly 2 months back, I caught 11(C) around 10:30pm and I tend to sit downstairs at that time but it was full so I went upstairs and sat right at the front. I assumed I was alone as I looked over my shoulder and saw no one there but when I glanced at the screen, 2 hooded youths were sat right at the back. I was slightly apprehensive but my bus journey wasn't long so I didn't think too much into it. 1 of them got up (To get off) but as he was approaching the stairs, he started to cover his face with what looked like a scarf. I got increasingly apprehensive but thankfully he just went down the stairs and got off. I saw all this via the screen.

They're useful pieces of equipment and if they help stave off anti - social behavior, it can only be a good thing. I'd imagine people are less likely to act stupid/ reckless when they are aware their antics are being broadcasted to everyone.

Earlier on today saw a 11A going down church road stechford and at about half six saw a AG germini parked at the 11C/55 bus stop outside Aldi at fox and goose displaying 1

Due to some temporary lights, the 11A was diverted. Given you seen a 11A there, I'm assuming it went down there. 11C was seemingly unaffected.

Just seen a 28 branded OmniLink parked right by the gates.

Loan perhaps ?

If this is all true, I welcome 6101 - 6148 coming to AG as I regularly use the 11 :D

Quite surprised about the 14 however, the route is awfully busy at times so I can't imagine how singles would cope.

On the 11C at Swan Island and rather interestingly, I just seen a 7 branded E400 seemingly headed towards AG.

National Express West Midlands / Re: Fare/coin chute

During my tenure at Amazon when NX ran the A52 from Erdington, the loading from Erdington to Rugeley was ever so amusing watching the driver having to clear the chute after every person as the fare (Inc Return) was £6.

I can't imagine the design being rectified with contactless being more mainstream.
