Yeah because they sack all of their drivers for the most trivial things!! A very good friend of mine was sacked from NXC last week, who had worked there for nine years and was very popular amongst colleagues and passengers, shows that there is no loyalty and obviously an all time low moral in the depot lately, as a number of drivers I have spoke to aren't currently happy with the way Coventry garage is being ran, so could be even more of a shortage of drivers soon.
It is NXC's own fault IMO, and maybe they should actually treat their drivers fairly.

50 drivers short, leaving in droves two of the traffic office now resigned too most drivers are leaving or trying to leave. to many friends have gone

There are now wreaths placed at the scene and a notice on the shop door stating Sainsbury's remained closed today as a mark of respect.
One report in the national press from a witness states the bus was 60 mph!

annoys me when witness say things like that especially when they have no idea

that zebra crossing is horrible, its made worse by the fact that people assume they have the right of way and dont look just walk straight out actually that seems to be the attitude of pedstrians all over the city and we get treated like we are in the wrong place when they are on the road

i saw a 86 being towed away around 830pm last night which sems to support the double bus impact

from what i have been told although rumours are paramount and facts are sketchy

A stage coach double deck bus clips a stage coach single deck bus and mounts the pavement crashing into sainsburys.. reports of two dead an ederly lady plus a child (these are un comfirmed) also unsure are their locations two stories are that one was on the bus and the ederly lady was a pedestrian ,another places them both on the bus. the saddest part of this entire incident is that after a near miss this morning myself with a pedestrian walking out in front of me, me and two colleagues agreed that someone will die soon on trinity street how sad to think that it actually happened 5 hours later

condolences if these deaths are true to all concerned

I think the Fiat Punto is b*llsh*t tbh. I reckon it was a heart attack. I can't believe it was my bus aswell. I was waiting for it at the time!

I'm gonna go with wrong footing on this incident. The fact that the Gemini seemed to make no attempt to slow and even the single Decker only just stopped seemed to indicate that it was a surprise to both drivers which on a clear stretch of road seems unlikely. But the possibility that the Gemini flashed the single deck through then hit the accelerator instead of the brake and panicked makes sense in the lack of slowing down

they rumored to be for the 12 but are supposed to be branded so if they are not then this may have changed

Are 4395,4616,aand 4666, replacements for 4153,4162 and 4181, or is it we have 6 Birmingham buses in Coventry now? If so are they from the same source, Birmingham Central?

for some bizzare reason 4153,4162 and 4181 were returned to BC and another 3 borrowed beats me why no one seems to know

A lot of the non bendi workings on the 4 are due to needing to use drivers who are not bendi trained for part of the day
