Anyone know what will be replacing the X7 between WN and Dudley to keep the 10 mins frequency ?

I'm assuming the new X8 timetable, with any amendments will be on traveline / NX website soon ?

I think the X8 could do with a frequency increase especially between Dudley and Birmingham, the 20 mins gap is a bit much I think. Maybe this will sort that once the X7 is withdrawn ?
I believe it to be June not July.

Hearing from a WN Driver that the WN X7 is due to be de-registered and withdrawn during July ?

Am I right in thinking that sometime this year the top end of Broad Street and the Five Ways Underpass will / may close to facilitate the metro extension construction and track laying ?

With this in mind, I'm guessing that all the Hagley Road services will need to be diverted for quite a while either along Ladywood Middleway or along Bath Row again ? If they take the Bath Row route, could they then turn left at the bottom and use Paradise again or would they have to make a circular around city stopping by Grand Central, Moor Street, Priory Queensway, Snow Hill and then on to Colmore Row ?  ;)

Just thinking out loud here guy's and wondering what could happen this year perhaps in terms of times and routes etc.......n ::)

Is it true NX will be taking over De Courcey's coach routes in-house, and based from Walsall next year ?

Anyone know if there will be a launch date for the Emeralds in the City and when they are likely to enter service on the 22 ?

X7 is almost a month old and still no stops sited between Smethwick and City Hospital along Heath Street and Cranston Street. It's a long way without a stop.

Planning issues perhaps causing a delay ?

The traffic was backed up both ways between Broad Street / Sheepcote St all the way down to the island by St Vincents street / Island. Awful,

Also, Summer row was backed up from BMW all the way up to Paradise / Great Charles Street lights. Surely the traffic lights need looking at or more green time ?

Slightly off topic but I was traveling on 6783 on the WN X8 yesterday. The next stop announcements were working and seemed to be spot on and very clear.

" The next stop is ............. etc ". Very handy for the limited stop section.

I guess it's still and trial for now and then they'll do the other buses asap.

Anyone know if there are any plans to site new bus stops along the X7 route along Cranston Street and Heath Street ?

I imagine they'll put some up near the new houses and hospital site and then nearer to the lights by the prison ?

Maybe NX have got the details wrong and the Hagley Road services will use the underpass as normal, unless it's closing of course ?

From 23rd September the Hagley Road services are to use Five Ways island and go over the top rather then underpass ? ( as per NXWM website ), onto Sheepcote Street and rather then use the usual Sandpits way into city, they are to use Cambridge Street both Ways. Anyone know if these are both correct ?

I'm guessing they are shutting Five Ways underpass then ?  ::)
