Dennis Javelins P425 and P440 JDT have passed to NN Cresswell, Evesham.
I spotted a few more pictures of their new King Long vehicles on Flickr the other day. Although I'm still a little unsure about those coaches, it's good to see a company carefully expanding and consolidating its reputation when so many other, long established names are folding.
From what i've heard Prospect are to be the Uk dealer for King Long
Just seen a new 63 reg Prospect Coach going through Lye, very smart, but was quite shocked to see it has centre doors as well as the front door?

I expect the centre door has a full disabled ramp and full width wheelchair access? I can't see from that picture but it looks like it has 2 door-service bus similar?)

Yes, was driving behind it last week and it has 2 doors that hinge out and presume it has a ramp as both doors had blue disabled stickers on
Looks more like a bus!.
Seem to have a another coach. Reg DX53 YUG. Anyone confirm.
Yes, Dennis Javelin with Plaxton/Transbus body acquired from Lakeside, Ellesmere in August 2012.
3white king long coaches in the yard no reg plates
oh dear, even worse than Plaxtons..
Drove past today. All three still unregistered. Two were of the same type as the tri-axle ones that they already own, but wasn't quick enough to see if these too were tri-axle. The other was one of KL's smaller types, the ones with the round lights on the rear. No idea what any of the model designations are - they're far too convoluted for me to bother trying to commit them to memory!

Interesting, though I know they are service agents so could be servicing them for someone. They do most of Greenline's maintenance, I know.
I hope they get to the bottom of the accident quickly. What a relief everyone was wearing safety belts.
Does anyone else think that the King longs look familiar to the Irizar century front?>

Does anyone know which vehicle was involved in the M5 accident?
Trainbasher: Great pictures and nice little site. I understand the Merc was on demo somewhere else prior to coming here. Wonder if it's on demo here too - interesting.
Ade: I understand it was PR58WYN that was involved in the accident.

Very swish and impressive Plaxton has already taken 50 orders for it before the first one has even been unveiled!

If that is the one which was displayed on Irizar UK's stand at the NEC then it is a DAF-engined i6 integral, rather than being on a Scania chassis.

Maybe there isn't the demand for extra vehicles. Why send out an additional vehicle that you have to pay fuel and drivers wages for?

I think you've misunderstood that, what I think was meant is why is a different coach operator running the extra services.
I would think if extra coaches need to be sent out, then there would be the demand for extra vehicles.

If as the article suggests coaches heading for the college drop off and pick up at bus stops on surrounding roads, surely this will lead to complaints form those residents about coaches blocking roads, driveways etc
Prospect have taken delivery of two brand-new Scania K410C coaches with Higer Touring bodywork, with a third on the way, branded for their Megabus operations. The two that have entered service are PR73 EMA, carrying the name Philebus Fogg, and PR73 KNG, carrying the name King Toot-ankhamun.
In addition, they took delivery of three similar second-hand examples earlier in the year.
