Would this entail purchasing 2nd hand vehicles?

Unlikely with 5 days notice.

Why

You would probably use crap e200s, which are far worse than what Igo currently offer.

Does it matter what bus is used as long as it is suitable for the route. The normal travelling public couldn't care less what bus is used as long as it turns up and gets them to their destination

And I suspect he doesn't need to use the 10H anyway

I do often use it. One of the select few that do use it.

My comment was 'need to'
I know bus spotters use a lot of random routes to travel on them

I think a lot of the vehicles are leased thru Dawson Rentals

Hopefully NXWM have got the 10 back, was just a good route back in the day and much quicker than the 103 (24) into town. It seems to mostly carry fresh air these days, unlike when I regularly caught it where buses were full in the peaks. Clearly not financially viable anymore, but I do think matters could be improved by extending it from Quinton to Northfield via West Boulevard and Barnes Hill. This would in someway also replace the 29 route and give Barnes Hill a direct route to Town. Maximum 15 mins trip from Quinton to Northfield so would only need 1 extra bus on a 30 min frequency, surely worth a short term risk to see if it could work.

No one really needs to use a service, but if it's there I will often use it to get nearer home

Lots of people need to use a bus service, to get to where they need to go.
So according to you they could just go and scrap every single bus/rail route in the country and there wouldn't be a problem?
