Popped to PE this afternnon, not much to report although there was activity in the car park, could see orange lights flashing in the midst of the reserve fleet.

As Karl said, I wonder if they're having a clearout before any new buses start arriving

Could be, its about time they did have a bit of a clear out, what is the point in keeping the fire damaged buses up there just rusting away.

It may be they've had to retain them to sort out insurance payments etc. From June there's going to be another 100+ buses added to the reserve fleet, so may as well scrap anything that can't be sold on for further use

B6s & Mercs Winston?

Stu those a long with WA B10L's as a possibility as well?

Yes i wonder if Jenny has got the E200s she asked for for WA?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

B10L 1478 was just pulled out from Pensnett's reserve fleet by a Mansfield tow truck, destination unknown.

Has anything else definately been towed away from the top yard apart from 1478 does anybody know?

Thanks Tony and Winston. As B6's go. I liked 517 but each to their own

Just a thought, why not make the 246 single deckers at night, like what happens with some Brum services. It rarely gets busy and undesirables often gather upstairs smoking and behaving badly.

Good idea Matt and it would be easily possible, add the evening journeys to the 243/4 daytime boards.

Saw 4814 in Cradley Heath this morning on the 141, don't know what the matter is with the suspension but it was knocking and rattling, couldn't believe it was a bus when i looked round, i expected to see an old lorry.

Could do, i was just thinking if undesirables get on and behave badly, Mercs off the 243/4 would be better than B7Rles.

I highly doubt PE will want to add anymore miles to the elderly Mercs, particularly on late night boards

I've just been told 4354 is on the 276, does anyone know if this is true?

There's at least one decker on there
