Does anybody here remember the above company? They used to operate on the 50 route about thirty years ago. Just wondered how long the company was around for

1993 to 1997 sounds about right I think.

igogeneral

They were based in Smethwick not far from London street at the same time as Citybuslines. Lasted about as long as each other, at the time we thought Falcon was part of Little Red Bus

They ended service 4/1997.

They were fans of Leyland Nationals too.

They operated a number of routes in direct competition with TWM

11 Outer Circle
15 City Centre - Lea Hall Station
47 City Centre - Turves Green
50 City Centre - Maypole
101 City Centre - Oxhill Road

Can't remember any other routes.

They also ran the 66 Sutton Coldfield to City Hospital for a short while

Comparing your list to the recorded history of the PSV circle there's 3 queries, don't know if you have dates.

BAZ 7378 was with Sovereign allocated to St Albans until 1/94, passed to Petlan, Stevenage 8/94, sold to PVS 4/95, then acquired by Goodsir at Holyhead 11/95 until 2/00

NTC 628M was acquired by Transol (Thandi) 5/92, passed to Bajwa, Slough 6/94, unlicensed from 1/95

NWO 459R was in South Wales until 2/94 when it was sold to Trevor Wigley at Carlton, Bal, Slough bought it 7/94 until 12/94 when the tax expired in 2/95

One typo in your list XNG 773S, not XBG 773S

Hi Tony,
I've dug out some old notebooks to trace the questions you asked so here goes

BAZ 7378 noted and photographed twice, firstly in London Street,Smithwick 30th July 1994 and on the 6th August 1994 up the road in the GKN yard,Alma Street. It had the Noddy Bus fleetnames removed.Photo on Flickr  Noddy Bus BAZ7378 London Colney 21st May 1994 | Peter Horrex | Flickr  shows it operating with Petlan in May 1994 ?

NTC 628M noted in London Street in full Baaj Bus Service livery 30th July 1994 together with ex Thandi (Transol) OAO 564M.I did photograph it with Baaj Bus Service fleetnames appiled on 6th August 1994.

NWO 459R  noted and photographed 21st May 1994 in London Street possible for repaint.
Bal(Falcon)-NWO459R-Slough-101-300794 | Falcon Travels NWO 4... | Flickr repainted carrying Falcon Travels fleetnames,working for Baaj,Slough July 1994.

Hope this clears up the issues rasied.I will shorty be scanning and uploading photos of the above vehicles and also other Falcon Travel vehicles to my Flickr site je1790.

I have:
BAZ 7378 ex Petlen 7/94, to Bajwa, Slough 8/94
NTC 628M was with Transol, Birmingham 5/92 ex Coakley, New Stevenston, then to Bajwa, Slough 6/94 (presumably they are the 'Baaj Bus' mentioned).  No record with Sahota & Sarai.
NWO 459R ex Golden, Llantwit Major 5/94, so Bal, Slough 7/94.

NWO 459R and BAZ 7378 have been crossed out in the PSVC records for Falcon, but this must be wrong; AFAIK they were never deleted in the news-sheets.

The licence for Sahota & Sarai (PD1282) was granted 7/93, and was surrendered 6/95 when it was replaced by PD1432 Falcon Travel Limited.  That licence was surrendered 4/97.
