1475 is back in service. Just saw it on 34 in Darlaston Bus Station, heading to Stowlawn.

582 served board 39/08 from 07:29 till 13:20. It had a technical issue with the fare machine so it had to go back to the garage. There will be a replacement bus to cover 582 to continue the service. It will run dead to Wolverhampton. Just asked the customer service manager about it.

Typical it came out today and goes back in the garage because of a technical issue.

Edit: 582 is back on 39. Saw it in Bilston at 16:17, heading to Walsall.

Can i ask how does the 34/8/9 interwork happed. Does it do the 34 then 39 then 38 so on and so on or is it a different way?

In the normal daytime period, buses work the 34/38, with the 39 running on its own. At the beginning/end of peak time, or after the reduced early morning period of operation on Saturdays, buses often switch between running 39s to 34/38s and vice versa. It is a very similar set up to that involving the 934/936 and 935.

I believe there is only one board, on a Saturday, which works entirely 39's. (Other than the Sunday service of course and the weekday 38E Darlaston-Walsall journey which comes off a school service).

@ notepanel how does it happen on Sunday? Do the 34 and 39 interwork at Bilston or Walsall? Or both?

Taking a guess, the 34 terminates at Bilston BS while the 39 terminates at Bilston War Memorial.

A short distance I believe,  but I suspect the interworking is at Walsall.

@ Westy @ Sh4318 the interworking IIRC is at Walsall as I caught a 39 in Bradford Pl on the what had come in displaying 34 a few months ago on a Sunday

All opinions and onions mentioned on here are mine and not those of any employer, current, past, present or future, or presented as fact, unless I prove it otherwise.

As far as I'm aware the 34 & 39 do not interwork on Sundays. Each service has a round-trip time of 55ish minutes so there is no need to interwork. Each route also has it's own board 34/01 & 39/01.

Just passed an unidentified Scania being hooked up to a Mansfield lorry after expiring on All Saints Way while presumably running the 4 to Walsall.

I saw 2 drivers, on separate occasions, wearing a blue hi-vis jacket. Could anyone explain what the jacket is?

The blue hi viz jackets are for 301 drivers with Passenger Champion printed on them.
Also WB 40 route has the blue hi viz as well.

I was on that bus. It's more often B7RLE's on that board with the other one being a Trident as was the case last night
