Thought Walsall had more Gem DDs than 7?

Did they gain some then lose some?

Did they have some of the ex AG ones for a while before they went to WB?

WA had three former PB examples (4489 & 4490 were two, I'm not sure of the other!) for a brief period in Summer 2010 (I believe July-August). These returned to PB after their stint at WA.

4523/4/5/7/8/31 all came to WA from AG during April/May 2010 and then also left to Perry Barr in August 2010, with the exception of 4531 which was done up and remained at WA until July 2011. Later these moved on to WB.

The August swap was to enable WA to regain the OmniLinks it lost to Perry Barr in the July following the LH closure and associated move arounds. I believe this may have had something to do with converting the 907 to single deck operation and quickly reverting it back.

The July PB-WA swap was a three way swap, which I believe involved a three way swap between WA-PB-BC involving Tridents, Gems & ALX400 B7s.

I believe originally, the AG Gems moving to WA was associated with an increased use of Double Decks following the North Walsall review.

586 on 47 at wednesbury aprox 13:59

What does this have to do with WA? The 47 is a WB route and 586 is infact a WN bus so are you sure it was 586?

Christopher

Not sure is it was 566 or 586

The other Gemini to transfer to Walsall was 4488. Yes the plan was to convert the 907 to single deck operation, which as you said was a huge failure resulting in 7 of the 10 OmnLinks transferring back to Walsall the next month (I've always wondered whe 1905-7 stayed at Perry Barr)
