Nothing wrong with the DAFs, I think they're excellent buses! Don't see why this debate is happening on this thread though :P

Bob

My mate says hes seen a few out of service nx buses ( one was a 56 plate bb7rle) pottering about the cannock area again lately. Training duties?

The X51s are still normally B7RLE and they run empty back to garage. The normal X51 route roadworks are due to finish on 7th November so Double deckers can go back on the Cannock's again

Bob

Wouldnt make much difference on tge to/from walsall section tony, a transit would probably be big enough lol

It does make a big difference on that section though, because if someone travelling past Walsall cannot get on in Birmingham because the single deck bus is full of passengers to Great Barr and Walsall, that may be another passenger lost.

Bob

Yes true. Has this been a problem?

On behalf of my sister,  you're not wrong there!

The Real 4778

4681 has an offside rear waist level panel reversed, meaning that the connecting bars make a perfect set of arrow heads pointing in the direction of travel!  Seen yesterday in Sutton about 1545 on the 366.
Don't you start.

Yeah, like most others after panel replacement.

With Tony mentioning panel replacement in the Bordesley Garage thread, I wonder if it means that logos will also be replaced immediately as well

From Thursday 31st October Bordesley's entire fleet will be free from all window etching and outside panel damage. Any that does occur will be repaired immediately as per Birmingham City Transport tradition.

All vehicles will be fitted with improved video equipment which will always be working

Hopefully the first of 10 garages to get this treatment

PS. B7RLEs are not allocated to the 6 or 77, Tridents are the main allocation, B7RLEs are sometimes seen on these routes

usually see more B7'S on the 6 than tridents hence why I thought the allocation was B7's with a Trident thrown in
