are omnilinks and enviros starting to become a bit of a normality on the 34? (I hope so)

I hope Enviros are not becoming common on the 34 as the only ones at Walsall are currently double deck (but probably not for long if they are allocated to 34 running boards!)

I gather there is a low bridge on the 34?

Not on the 34, but they interwork with 38s which go along Bridgeman Street

Looking on Google Maps, the bridge on Bridgeman Street is 10'6". Are there any single deckers which won't fit under there? Omnilinks?

Scanias are now used occasionally on the 38, but Walsall try to keep Eclipse of there because they are a bit close

Hmm yes, it might be a bit of a squeeze for a double-deck there!  ;)
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Does the 38 have to use Bridgeman St?

Can't it use Queen St (I think? ) & Rolling Mill St, coming up Wednesbury Rd in & out of Walsall,  then double deckers could be used on the Darlaston corridor.

(Surprised Arriva haven't stuck a DD on either the 9 or 334?

Double deckers are appearing quite reguarly lately on the 334, several DAFs and one Trident (4851)

Hopefully you mean the Arriva 334?

JoNi

Yes, I passed it while riding in a Dart sitting on the nearside son only saw it was an ALX400 Trident.

Not a Tridrnt but an ALX400 DAF (Same chassis as a Spectra) :)

JoNi

Oops, not the first time I've put the wrong chassis on an ALX400, when I wrote an article about Coventry in Buses magazine I put the wrong chassis on Coventry Corporation liveried 4453. :o

Didn't you say it was an ALX400 B7TL? Arriva Wednesfield do have Tridents but with East Lancs bodywork

Only 2 of them and they're both 10-branded... hasn't stopped them appearing on the 19 and 334 lately though!
