How bad was the Pelsall  corridor this afternoon, according to the 'management'?

This was due to the carnival.

I was on the 8 / 89 and road was closed when I got to the finger post so I had to carry on straight to Brownhills and do the 10A route to Walsall! Surprisingly made it on time to Walsall! Was funny to be on a 89 in Brownhills though!

The 8 was unusually busy, of course it was expected because of the carnival. Coming back to Walsall was interesting, full bus with 2 pushchairs.

The 89 going to Brownhills was definitely interesting, it felt weird going there!

I saw one 8 between 3 & 4 on normal route.

In addition, one Arriva 3 to Walsall.

Luckily I managed to go  to & from Bloxwich & Pelsall on an Igo 25 but they had to take a diversion as their normal route was blocked by parked carnival floats to the Allens Lane(I think) corner, the one that leads to Slacky Lane!

At that point, someone got on & the person that was waiting with them proceeded to give the lady Igo driver some grief in response to her telling them that they should be waiting opposite the bus stop slightly further up the road, as some drivers would not stop on the corner.

The person that got on was very apologetic about her 'friend' when she got off at the Forest Estate.

By the way, I never saw anything on social media about the diversions & the app was working 'normally' !

@RS It's quite common to find 934/5/6/7 branded vehicles on the 997/X51 and vice versa with the 997/X51 branded vehicles. This is since some 934 boards do X51's (934/01 actually does X51's and 997's all day apart from a 935 to Birmingham and a round trip on the 937 in the morning) and also some X51 boards start and finish as 937's. Also you have the interworking at night with the X51 and 937A/934E unbranded Platinum's are used on a Sunday). I've given up posting when they are on other Platinum routes.

Why didn't they have a generic 'Fast to Birmingham' branding on all of Walsall's Plats, instead of branding up for certain routes, if this amount of interworking is happening?

I was just wondering as the branding still has the 4H as a new service and from next week will show the 4M as a 30 minute service even though it will be every 20 minutes.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Busman Jamie

Is it possible they've started taken branding off them as there has been 3/4 Volvos working the 4's the past couple of days?

4261 will be doing the last X56 today. I'm currently on it on the X51 to Birmingham. And what a beast it is! Coolant fans roaring all the way down the Birmingham Road!

@Trident 4194 B7's on the 4's are not rare in the slightest
