Is there a route '40-and-a-half'? I ask because on the B10Ls working the 40 and 41  the rear blind is usually set half way between the '1' and '0' .

Might be some photos of them on the main site tomorrow
The new WA Platinum buses coming from Scotland like the standard MMC's or still from Scarborough as I see they have the SN prefix not the YX of the BC variety. Just wondering that's all @Tony??

Gareth

6701-18 were built in Scarborough and 6719-58 are/will be Falkirk built.

Cheers @Gareth that explains the registration prefix plus I couldn't remember where exactly the others were built just knew is was up north somewhere lol. Did think at first I was seeing things until I double checked

Its because the drivers havent got  time to keep changing the blinds!

Theres one ex 997 that has only been partially debranded, with the stopping points still listed.

I had assumed that, but it still looks odd!

See if im 100% honest thats driver laziness. Ok drivers may not have masses amount of time but passengers still have to get off the bus. Why not change it then when you do the destination.

Used to happen when NX ran the 40A/C and the S2/S3. Used to put just 40 on the rear blind and just an "S" if they were on one of the S2/S3 interworking boards. Just easier and many use the front/side displays anyway.

Maybe but they have time to have a chat with other drivers. ::) The time used for chatting could be used for changing the rear blind. Only takes 30 seconds to walk up, change the blind, walk back.

Drivers used to do it on Metrobuses on the 128 & 129
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
Local Routes: 21, 89, 48/A, 12/A, 54/A
Semi-local routes: 80, 87

Have seen it on the old 370 / 371 in Walsall, even on the side blinds!

On the main site @Tony put pics of some of walsall platinums at falkirk. They look good, wonder what colour the branding will be. Im thinking a sky blue for X51 and maybe a red branding for the 934/5/6?
